The highest paying official job I had, I made $19.85 an hour and all I did was run a printing press.

 

I am Universal HVAC certified (as in I can buy Ammonia gas), have 6 years experience of apartment maintenance, and basically can work on anything. :|

shit...I make 15.76 an hour...and it still not enough for what I do

I'm pretty content with what I make a year!

I work full time and make 17.50 an hour

I can afford to pay all of my bills and still get things on the side, so no complaining from me  :)

 

but I'm not sure what you do for a living!

 

I think as long as you're happy and can get by that's all that matters!!!

My salary is just the STARTING pay. There's people who are making $30/hr at my job. They actually take less calls in a specialized queue with more difficult customers. But im just wasting my breath. Buddyroe will pop a qualude and come in here telling everyone im lying and yall will just believe him :D

That's great pay. Im itching so bad for this raise and bonus check ive been told im getting.  Im paying all my bills but i cant spend like i used to when i made $40k at tmobile.

What track record? I posted my paystubs where i made $2000-3000 checks and some idiot just paid attention to round up checks where they did corrections. I didn't get a correction so it said 0.00 and some dummy was like "you got paid nothing". So i can post all the proof in the world but yall would be just too stupid to comprehend it.

Anyway, im supposed to do clinicals for rad tech but whenever i inch forward in school i find a job that pays more then dont go back and finish whatever program. We'll see what happens. Being on good meds nowadays hopefully means im less likely to have job issues.  I still might apply for fmla so i can leave whenever i want :D

Yep.  The glories of engineering.  You should give it a shot.  Assuming you are as competent with math as you say you are, as firms can't hire black women fast enough to put on their HR photos.  You would never have money or job problems again.  Even with one of the easier disciplines like industrial or civil engineering.

oh, well i thought she broke it down from salary to hourly, which even though i'm not hourly i sometimes do because it helps translate if i can afford something or not. still though i don't think she's making 30 an hour or she would have said off the bat she was making 30 an hour

The thing isn't making more money than others, it's making decent money AND loving your job.

 

Rumor is that they're changing our job titles.  Going from "Sr. Analyst" to "Data Scientist", I guess.

 

But nothing beats "Zone Head" from my first (hourly) employer!  :D

Kekerino, I made more than you when I was still an intern. Now I made more after your raise as well.

 

But when you have a mortgage and student loans and people to feed, yeah you might have more money than me in the end.

i know how much k_n makes so i won't say it because he also knows how much i make. sawdy mentioned he worked at a bank, and i'm going to guess by the way he posts he's probably at AVP or VP level of some department. i'm guessing 160-180 or the equivalent in his area unless he lives in like california where it's probably more than i want to think about.
