This is the most confusing administration, probably by design, that I can remember.
He got rid of DEI, EEOC and all diversity initiatives in the federal government.
His Pentagon and State Department are not acknowledging Black History Month.  He then releases a statement trying to sound all in on Black History Month. He threw Tiger Woods name in his statement somewhere. Ofc Trump loves Tiger Woods. He’s got tons of $ and cheats on his wife too.  Other than that the other people named are either questionable character people still living like Justice Thomas or grade school learning level like Tubman and Douglas. That’s fine I guess but I’m just sayin throw in some people most people might not have heard of, like Henrietta Lacks  or probably thousands of other people deserving of historic immortality but haven’t even gotten a “thank you”

Edit: I think this should be a 3 panel, this should be the first & last panel.  The middle panel should be him looking at Washington over his shoulder, with Washington in his original position.  (BTW, anybody else see a woman's head in the table leg & cloth?)

I’m starting to wonder now with all his satellites and tech abilities. He’s got access to things he definitely shouldn’t. I know some of it is recent but idfk. Trump says shit that raises eyebrows but he knows we won’t do shit. Why? Cuz we don’t want to be like them despite being shown over and over that all their accusations were actually confessions

So Trump just signed the tariffs because…fuck you that’s why.

Interestingly, Canada and Mexico are poised to counter by hitting retaliatory tariffs, but only on red state products and Teslas.

the alt national parks service explaining how government employees resisting order from Musk are treated. They also explain how DOGE is completely illegal

The fact that a military coup is preferable to what's happening is a testament to how much of a shitshow we're in.

After the report I posted from Secular Talk, I'm unfortunately leaning toward it being stolen.

We were getting alarm bells over voter purges by republicans. I couldn't have seen 3.5m coming, though.

Looks like they abused legal ways to purge voters and invalidate legal mail in ballots but that it’s as many as 3.5m and no one is talking about it is crazy

The actions are nothing new. Republicans have been doing this since well before I was born. Like, since before most of us were.

The extent was enough to smell fishy going back to election day. That's what's new this time.

If it was certified under false pretenses, one could argue that the process was invalid.

Shame nobody in power has enough of a spine to contest it.

Eh, I don't really buy it. I'm sure they tried all sorts of shenanigans, but I can't believe they actually got away with tossing out enough votes to swing anything without anyone catching on before now. Either way, what does it matter now? As pleasant as it would be to live in denial, it's just engaging in a form of pointless escapism from the unfortunate reality we find ourselves in now.

I find it a lot more believable people were simply swayed by the massive misinformation campaign they waged anyway, as I'm a firm believer in the endless stupidity of the human race.

Will the courts see it that way?  How do you prove voter rolls weren’t purged in good faith, the same for the invalidated provisional ballots and mail in?

I’m not trying to be a defeatist but there might not be anything anyone can do at this point. Is it worth it to know the truth? Yes but we have to take action with what we can change now. As frustrating as it is, acting on this might be a waste of time

When you got right-wing billionaires taking over media organizations and twisting their coverage like this, who needs to actually cheat. A lot easier to just buy up all the microphones so people only hear what they want us to hear. This is the real danger to me and the last true line of defense. When they start going full force after journalists and trying to shut down what's left of the free press, it's over.

I don't know that I'd call it escapism. Whether they won legitimately or not doesn't chanfe that it's the same result.

One is the death of democracy; the other is misinformation won.

However, these aren't mutually exclusive, and evidence of tampering should be taken seriously.

The problem is that simply not needing to cheat has never stopped the far right from cheating. We are talking about the team who, in 2020, tried getting fake electoral college papers signed off.

It doesn't help that our "lEfT-wInG mEdIa" like CNN (lol) have already buckled to this administration.

I'm not all in on the rigged election concept, but I've opened up to it more with the newer information. I doubt anything can be done.

i'm really fucking curious.

when will enough, actually be enough?

we, the people, are now confronted with taxation, without representation.

please, tell me what the people, that did not vote for this monstrosity (sp) of the u.s. presidential administration, are supposed to think.

a convicted felon is in charge of ...everything of the u.s. and a non u.s. citizen, that is a billionaire (on paper) holding the strings, while throwing nazi salutes during the ...

fuck. dude.....

Elon Musk has been granted full access to the U.S. Treasury Department's payment systems, he has access to every single USians financial data, and can disrupt $6 trillion in federal payments. He’s not an elected official nor is he part of any confirmed government department. - Anonymous

Dems need to get people out there willing to throw fruit and rotten eggs at these people. Stop worrying about being called homophobes when someone points out Republicans bend over and spread their ass cheeks and say "please here sir" whenever Trump is in the room. They got to stop doing the "we're going to take the high way" tact. Didn't work. Now's the time to stop being civil and start mocking, slinging mud and running over a bunch of spineless pussies. Who are the "oh, they shouldn't be so abhorrent" wine and cracker eating rich liberals on the coasts going to vote for? I'm sure they wouldn't vote GOP even if a Democrat dumped a big shit bowl over some Republican's head.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has had this feeling. I have been wondering if there has been a "Plan B" being made since before the election.

I just didn't think we'd be escalated this soon. But Trump looks awful, probably feels awful and we know he doesn't care about who he harms because ... you find the word.

Trump alone might've been one thing but the power grab by Musk feels like something else.

I didn't see this but apparently BlueSky had this message on searches today: "This is a hostile takeover of the federal government by a private citizen of unlimited means with no restrictions and no transparency. Welcome to the Deep State."

It just feels like "something."

I saw on BlueSky that someone mentioned that one of the Departments has already declared that it will only do press releases on X and no longer send emails.

Musk wanted X to be an "everything app." Now he has the power to force that on us, willing or not.

Conspiracy theorists have gone on about this for 30 years. Ironically, it came to pass and it's by a guy who've they embraced. Real-life irony there.

history does in fact, and will always repeat. until humankind can break this cycle of abuse we put ourselves through....

i have always thought about purchasing an ameuteur radio. i have some basic comm. skills, how hard can it be to learn morse code?

i'm semi/super cereal.

if i won the lottery,  i wouldn't tell a soul.....

Maybe we are going about this all wrong.

Has anyone just tried rolling up a newspaper and swatting him upside the head over and over again while yelling 'NO! WE DON'T DO THAT!' ?

Better watch out if you try that. I don't think he's been potty trained.

You know, if you wanted to make the country that is the "leader of the free world" impotent, bankrupt every company and individual of said country, and make every other free country in the world question if they were safe - you'd elect this idiot & his ilk.

I know someone who supports the tariffs and has said that other places ("everywhere") already tariffs us hard without tariffs inmposed by the United States.

I finally decided to look this up, but Google is a bunch of shiteating cunts and finding anything now is ass. Anyone know much about this info or know where to find it?
