What fun things have you been doing?
New recipes? Bored spending on Amazon? Cleaned your house from top to bottom?

Save me. Please. I need an adult to move in with me. Must like dogs and tolerate children.

My kids were missing their mom so I took them to her and now I'm bored.

We'd come move in but my daughter doesn't like dogs...Or animals period for some reason.

That was nice of you to take them to her.
I’m kind of surprised that your daughter doesn’t like animals.

who could not love this face, though?

Week 4 of Quarantine:

I'm an introvert so the effect this is having on me is limited. Plus the miniature wasn't set to start kindergarten until the fall. Currently battling the irrational need to stop by Starbucks for fancy coffee. Also just realizing I wont be able to partake in my annual birthday gel mani pedi .... or my fancy birthday dinner.

O.O

or the opportunity to wear a classy dress with slightly more than appropriate cleavage in a real bra.

Starting March 4th

Day 1: Never left the bed, ate little and slept from surgery I just had. They tell my wife it was a lot worse than they expected. I can't feel my leg, its like it is asleep.

Day 2: Never led the bed, began pee jar system and ate pannacotta and jello all day.

Day 3: A growing fear sets in as I haven't had a BM in over three days. I call the surgery center and am informed this is a side effect if the anaesthesia used. I venture out the bedroom and my wife helps bathe me with baby wipes. Get back on the internet to shitpost while I am invalid.

Day 4: The baby wakes me up by jumping on my left leg. The pain is so great I become nauseated and take my pain and anti-nausea pills for the first time. I play video games the rest of the day.

Day 5: Play fetch with the baby for hours. Start watching Perfect Strangers  with my kids.

Day 6: Wife abandons me to go see our baby sitter friend and leave the youngest two with them. I rage about the fact I her FMLA is to actively take care if me not extra vacation. Reinstall Discord and start shitposting.

Day 7: Decide to start adding cinnamon to the pannacotta. Switch to orange jello.

Day 8: I have beaten all the NES and SNES Kirby games on the Switch. I feel the first BM begin rumbling out and preemptively weep.

Day 9: I want to call a rape counsellor, it hurts so much. We are out of witch hazel and I feel more diamond rocks coming. Dressings changed.

Day 10: Schools closed down, all children at home fighting, dog jumps on leg and I contemplate calling a black trash bag pit bull adoption service.

Day 11: I look out of the window and cuddle with the kids. I tell them I will sell the TV if in hear the Paw Patrol theme song again. Watch Ramen Heads, the Amazon Japan shoe and James May's Japan show. Walk wife through making dinner.

Day 12: Dad comes by to visit, brings a knee rover to me. Freedom at last.

Day 13: Hobble to the car and look longingly at my Focus RS, I won't be able to drive it for weeks. After everyone is asleep I hobble out to the car and drive myself to my friend's house. His wife had bangs now and I see strain in everyone's faces. We play magic and drink beer.

Day 14: All the preemptive stocking I did is paging off. Today we eat Kroger brand canned pasta to make it easier. Organize the first LittleTykes Basketball tournament. I win.

Day 15: I am lost in time, I only know we go forward because the sun is out longer. There will be no garden this year.

Day 16: Cast comes off completely and I see the horror that was my left leg. The Dr. and my wife are shocked I look unhappy, they say it looks great and the incisions are healing well. The sutures come out. New prescriptions and pain pills. My wife tries to get me to use the disabled riding carts at the store. I gently tell her that I am not yet ready to make out with a pistol and that she should never suggest or bring up the topic again.

Day 17: We go for a drive. My wife and I have been playing Jeopardy and I think will kill me in my sleep if I beat her again. So far I average 30pts and she in single digits. Did I make a mistake?

Day 18: When going to the bathroom they kids knock me off balance and I reflexively catch myself on my left foot and a bolt of pain thundercracks through my leg. I hit the floor. The children laugh, I am proud

Day 19: Will I ever see another butterfly?

Day 20:  I have almost beaten Octopath Traveler. My VP check on me and tells me everyone misses me. I ask if I can come back with the scooter, he tells me not to rush and everything is good.

Day 21: My wife is starting to crack. She is 7 months pregnant and had lost all patience with the kids. She had locked herself in the bathroom and abandoned me.

Day 22: My dad comes by and tells me they picnicked in the mountains today. That they rode their backs. He asks me do I miss the RS. I try to be strong.

Day 23: I watch every Norm.MacDonalf video I can find. I can laugh again.

Day 24: I look out the window at my forge and crucible in the back yard. I want to make bronze.

Day 25: My friend works in cold storage leadership and has worked the last two weeks straight. Says maybe this week we will hang out. I long for talking and smoking with a six pack and a fire.

Day 26: I know why the caged bird sings.

Day 27: I find the reincarnated ASMB. I spend the day going through to decide if I should join. I check the memes.

Day 28: I join. I have been out of pain meds for a week and ask for a refill because I haven't slept for a week.

Day 29: Plan on going to shoot some photographs with my film cameras. My 23 month old woke me up this morning by coming into the bedroom with my four year old giggling and smacking me in the face. Saying "Hi daddy hi daddy hi daddy"

Also fitting that you not being able to walk is aligning with the quarentine. 😆

Yeah believe me, it made my outlook very bleak. My job is still operating and I want to be there to lead my teams. I have 90 reports and they rely on me for a lot of guidance in stuff. A lot of them are scared.
