What do you like about newsletters?

I was surprised to learn that in this day and age of social media, newsletters are still very active and popular.

It's complicated why I like newsletters. A very long story. But I always read my free speech coalition newsletter now that you mention it. I used to read xbiz's too but ehhh xbiz

We send out a bulk thing like once or twice a year if there are a bunch of things going on. I think you might be able to create you own custom newsletter/report for the content you're interested in, but I've never messed around with that stuff. Email is broken though, so no newsletters for right now.

Also, "newsletter" is code on the internet for "excuse to send folks content for the purpose of reminding them we exist and is actually for our benefit and not yours" so with that in mind, everyone should most certainly accept newsletters and whitelist our email address, particularly if you're prone to forgetting to visit until you forget we exist.

Sometimes I open my middle-high school era email I use for stuff like newsletters or finding some really old account info or w/e and get freaked out how many emails I will never open no matter what I tell myself are there *keeps signing up for more*
