Technically my hip, but it was close enough to the buttocks.  My feet started swelling up on Monday and haven't returned to normal.  I figured it was gout because I've had experiences with gout before but the swelling would always go down in a day or two, but this has been near a week.  So my feet are swollen and in pain and now my butt hurts from the shot.

Send me sympathy tiddies

Might have been what I got done.  Somehow my ankle got an infection and had to take some medication as well as get a shot in my "hip".
Leg burned if I stood still so I either had to lie down or walk about.

Also found out I'm slightly allergic to penicillin during this time.

...........................Where else do you get a steroid shot other than the butt?

In the arm, or in the thigh, or in the affected joint capsule, or IV, depending on the specific steroid, the indication, the volume of the injection, and (in the case of intramuscular injection), the muscle mass.

I almost added that, plus various other site-specific routes, but the cat was helping me type again. 😸
