The only thing I did productive today was working on straight line/ offset backing, and parallel parking a school bus for a few hours. My driving test is Friday, and there's so many parts of the school bus I have to point out and talk about for the pretrip inspection that I'm losing my mind. I have to drive 50 miles to the city where I'm going to do the test tomorrow as well though since my trainer wants to scope out the DMV and make sure I get some driving experience there. I will be so glad when I finally get all this training, and testing out of the way.

Still in recovery mode from a tooth extraction yesterday.  Back to work tomorrow.  No real food until after 2 pm tomorrow, even then it has to be something easy to chew (sigh).  I so want a burrito.

oh i know this feeling. the temp crown, can't chew at all.

if i get a particle of food between the top and bottom (bottom is the temp)

the pain is beyond anything. just horrible.

hope you enjoy your 1405 burrito :)

btw...what kind? tell me carnitas.

I think all the buses in this fleet are automatic thankfully. I havent drove stick in so long.. plus I've never really drove a vehicle with a manual transmission long enough for it to get second nature so that would make this process twice as frustrating if I had to.

I didn't do much today.

Booked a hotel for a conference I need to attend next week.

Hoping to get some important contacts for a project I'm thinking of starting.

Going to need some serious capital for it though, and I'm not sure I can get the level needed to really pull it off.

Also cut grass today, and took a long shower after.

Day in the life.

Gonna make a 5 layer taco dip for dinner tomorrow.

i went to the doctor today, which is kind of a big deal for me, since I don't really do doctors.

Got five new medications.

The joys of being old.

Bummer.

I used to just take a One-a-day.

Now the doc has me on two meds and three vitamin supplements.

Getting old sucks.

I have to go to the eye doctor sometime as well.

I'm going to end up with glasses for reading most likely.

I wear glasses to see far away, and I have readers.

Also, just found out I have two types of arthritis, a hernia and terrible reflux.

I need a burger and a sweet tea.

I was diagnosed with positional vertigo this year.  I'm otherwise pretty healthy so I guess the universe decided I was getting too old to leave unscathed.

My first 'episode' came out of nowhere...much like the floor does when I'm walking down a long hall on a bad day xD

Yep.  My nickname at the house, first thing when I got home and every time I'm being cautious,  there's no mercy where I am. 😄  Although I now realize her portrayal of an older woman with vertigo probably isn't too far off...I don't know what I'm going to be like when I'm her age.😆 I just know I need to be better at finding things to hang on to than she was.

Focused.  Nice.

I lack that.  In more ways than one.

Hope you get the time you need.

Is this your attempt at human empathy, ghostrek?  Aw *pats* we're learning :)

There are good days and bad.  Episodes kinda leave me drained and a little groggy, but I manage them with specific exercises I learned at PT rather than taking drugs for it.  I figure when I'm old and cracking everywhere I might not be physically able to do the exercises, in which case I'm gunna want the drugs, in which case I don't want to be so used to taking them for years that I need a high dosage for them to have an effect.

But I do dread the exercises.  They aggravate the symptoms before they help them...i.e. they sometimes make me throw up.  But not always!  Oddly singing while I do them helps.  Fuck if I know y.  Maybe because of the way I breath when I sing? No idea.
