Disco loves her sanctuary.

For some reason, while in-ground pools are generally seen as luxury, above ground pools are generally seen as tacky.

I have no idea why. :|

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that an in ground pool ages better than an above ground. Stronger materials/more permanence. Just a guess.

I would personally be stoked to have either.

Meh. The kids will love it.

I'm going tomorrow and get a butt and jowl, for Saturday.

Well, yeah. They will. I used to have to maintain one. It’s a bitch in winter, unless you have a cover.

We got a cover for it. But yeah. I know the pain in cleaning one in the spring, that wasn't covered for the winter. We had a pool when I was a kid, and one year, there was a dead possum in it.

That's ok it rained last weekend

It hasn't rained here in a few weeks.

They keep saying it's going to, but it never does.

I'm not holding my breath this time.

But since I have a pool to build, it probably will rain this time.

We've found frogs in our pool before. Sometimes live and swimming, sometimes dead.... but never any mammals.

It's not possums I'm worried about. It's snakes, lizards, and bears.

Also, the fuckton of leaves and shit that fall in.
