You're just jealous that the overwhelming majority of young people who get lit don't end up alcoholic and stuck as a janitor for the rest of their lives.

He ain't jealous.  While all those young people are playing to party, he gets all the bums he wants under the boardwalk for free.

Worse, they end up begging for nickels near Sister Jean's kitchen.

Would that have been the alternative for you instead of a career as a janitor? You poor thing.

Bet it's still less than 50k.

What makes my pension grow?

People paying into the system and not staying long enough to vest.

Anyway, what good is a $50k salary when you might lose the job next month and spend three years looking for another?

My sister is a nurse, under 25, and makes about 60k a year. She'll be making over 100k by her 30s. Pretty sure she doesn't ever have to worry about not finding a job either, so . . .

50k is grazing that poverty line and you are well below it.

That's just what Kent Paul Dolan thought.

He was rich too, at one time.  Job loss for his own obsolescence put him out on the streets.

I don't think 100k is considered rich; I prefer the term well-off. Plus nursing jobs are only increasing and face little threat to automation, unlike most jobs.
