Is about to get their shit pushed in today.

Bigly.

Knowing people that have stock in their company, and bought at a good time and have made some decent dough from it.... Are going to be on suicide watch today.

They wouldn’t have kept it this long without selling it earlier in the year if they were really smart. The Congressional hearing alone was terrible for FB’s image, but Zuckerberg kept fucking up on such a wide scale that it would really be unwise to expect a sudden switch in the stock’s improvement for at least another 6 months to a year. That is, if Zuckerberg doesn’t continue fucking up.

Nah, at our age we let it ride. I wouldn't ever buy tech stock though, it has proven to be unreliable... Intel being a fine example.

The days of me being smarter than anyone in the room with stocks are long gone, if they ever existed. Which is why I'm awful at fantasy football, I over think and outplay myself.

i personally doubt the intelligence of anyone investing in facebook for more than a quick ride. who ever thought that was a good idea, doesn't need to be touching my money.

Right, I mean if you were in the know for the occulus buyout, you made some quick change but this is stupid. I don't even know if they are considered a tech stock or not actually? I mean, they aren't tech... They use tech.

i think the best description of their business model at this point is "lowlife data peddlers" but you won't get them to admit that.

At this point fish or cut bait, is their best strategy or bro down.

it'll be fun to watch zuc get zucced from his own company. i don't think he's been much more than a face (nopun) since their ipo, but it will still feel good.

Speaking of that, I read about their poison pill clause in their sharehodker clause.

I always thought it was strange that FB could make money with the business model it had, but surprisingly they have at least to some extent.

Why am I not surprised that you two get a kick out of Zuckerberg losing money?

i have ask before actually responding to the question: which two?

so are you ... defending facebook or something? what's your angle here?

My angle is I find it interesting you get enjoyment out of seeing someone who's smarter and more successful get knocked down a peg.

as a business owner, facebook is a necessary evil if you want to stay top of mind with your customers. beyond that, it's a trash platform that has a singular use: to steal your data and serve you ads for profit. idc if zuc is the smartest person on the planet. he's done more harm to data privacy than almost anyone else in history. if he loses control of the beast he created, i question the motives of anyone who doesn't find at least a little joy in that.

You didn't pay a cent to join - how did you think he was going to make money from you?

well when i joined fb 10+ years ago, i certainly didn't think it would be by stealing my contacts list and monitoring my browsing history and conversations. but hey, i guess i'm just old-fashioned.

Or just plain ol' dumb.  Really, an "old-fashioned" dude would probably think to himself "Hey, what are they getting from me to make all this work worth their while?"  Having a conversation with someone about your favorite beer isn't going to be worth much unless they can sell your preferences to the brewer who makes a pint similar to your favorite brew.  This shit is basic.  Even the whole outrage over Cambridge Analytica seems ridiculous to me:  why wouldn't a campaign spend millions on this data to target voters?  It's not like they're telling people what to think; just what you want to hear.

Simply put, Zuckerberg did what any good businessman would do, he exploited people's carelessness to make a buck or two, and he did it with their tacit approval.

You idiot. You should have been paying close attention to this stock since Zuckerberg went in for hearings. Facebook really seems like one of those buy Monday sell Friday stocks to me, but I don't have the money to play like that yet.

listen, you can suckle zuc's balls all day if you want. he still put together a company that deceived a lot of people, took their private data, and sold it down the stream. if that's the company you keep, that's your problem, not mine.

You need to admit everyone that gave him that information was kind of dumb to begin with. Facebook never needed to know anything about you, until it suddenly needed to know everything. Motherfuckers asked for a copy of my state ID and I told them to fuck off.

i don't disagree, and that's why mine is locked down as hard as possible. but not everyone is that careful or attentive. and i'm not saying facebook is the only bad guy in the room here either. they're just one of the biggest, and if they weren't involved in some shady shit, you wouldn't be seeing them having to defend themselves in front of congress.

Who's sucking his balls?  He didn't deceive anyone; you all just didn't think far enough ahead.  You know, like when you voted for Trump because he was "the lesser of two evils."  How's that working out for you, by the way?

i'm sorry, i can't understand you very well. you gotta take those balls out of your throat and speak clearly into the mic.
