Prolonged anxiety can lead to sleep problems, weight gain and cardiovascular issues.

Get yourself a spa day....

I keep thinking about going to atleast get a mani pedi but I always end up not going and doing it myself.

it can feel like it.

try breathing exercises.

sit in a quiet place. 10 deep breaths in through the nose, and out the mouth~slowly.

picture a calming place.

repeat if necessary.

feel better.

I was feeling pretty bad for a little while but im cool now.

Thanks!

It can dramatically shorten your lifespan if it's bad for a long period of time, like if you spend every day worrying about being fired or getting a demerit at work for exposed sex marks

Im not that bad, but work does cause me a good amount of stress. I cant sleep at all Sunday nights knowing I have work

I was thinking more along the lines of full body massage and getting wrapped up in seaweed.

Prolonged anxiety can cause health problems, like those Jingai said and also high blood pressure.  Disco's breathing exercise works wonders in the short term.  In the long term, it helps to modify your behavior to mitigate stressors.  Try to keep work at work (and by that, I mean the extracurricular issues, not work tasks), don't make it a habit of working overtime,  stick to a balance of chores and socializing off hours, and get plenty of sleep.  It won't stop the anxiety from returning, but compartmenalizing allows you to better address the individual causes when the anxiety pops up again.

More often than not, anxiety that's bad enough to make you question your health is bad enough to be pervasive in your life.

I am not trying to have a meltdown at work! You cant show weakness! Its too cut throat here!

I'd say use a stress ball but if you're anything like me those just will just make you more angry

One guy I use to work with would do a real shitty version of moon walking on his way to talk to the boss people to calm himself down

It was by far one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in my life

I'm usually pretty good. Yesterday one of the guys from the top of our local organization came down and he ended up teaching me some new tasks then said I was probably getting a new position, then my brain went into a frenzy ... do I need more training?! Will he have to train me?! I only know like 65% of this job. Why does he smell like a burger and spearmint gum at the same time?! OMG classes start next week, where are they going to put me for my internship!?! I really need a night or weekend internship so I can keep my job! What if I get a new position and have to go back to nights?! Can I go back to nights?! OMG! I still have to get an MRI for my ankle! I'll probably have to get naked and take off my glasses! Jesus I'm blind! What if I have to pee?! Will I get a real desk?! How will I decorate it?! What if I don't get it?!

I don't think I really calmed back down until I left work, went to buy groceries, and was making dinner.

I usually just chew gum furiously whenever I have to go in the senior manager's office alone. I think I'm good at hiding my anxiety

Do you want the new position?  Is it a promotion or just a lateral move with new duties?

It would just be a lateral move. I sort of want it.  He said they haven't told him for sure if I'm getting it or not, but I already work that position when my coworker is off anyway. She's getting promoted Friday.

I guess I know what that's like.  I don't have a set job description myself - I'm more or less responsible for everything in some form - so any time a new project starts, I do get a bit of anxiety as I navigate what needs to be done and who is responsible for doing it, and it used to feel an awful lot like I was going to die.
