patina on silver can be black. 

pennies are connotatively racist/derogatory in the way that only high society or tight spenders in an

unfair economy are dependent upon or very greedy with them.

Pennies cost more to produce than they are worth and should have been stopped when the rest of the developed world stopped their pennies.

The zinc lobby wont allow that though.

Not entirely, there's a contingent of Numismatists that want to keep them too.  Probably hope to come across a misstamp and get rich quick.

It's not like they're going to be the 6th 1913 Liberty Head V Nickel.
