The most painful part is when they anesthetize your mouth. After that it's EZ. If it hurts while they drill then they are a shitty dentist.

This sometimes isn’t the case...the back bottom molars sometimes still hurt when they are working...I had a SHIT load of benzocaine in my mouth and occasionally would still feel it...I mean it wasn’t bad but it was there

Fixing cavities doesnt hurt as much anymore...they have good drugs now. Youll be ok.

Yea im not worried. I just didnt know i had one developing bc it was hidden then broke thru. I didnt know that could happen so i always imagined if i started getting a cavity id get it fixed before it got bad.Β

I wonder if that's what's been causing your jaw pain

i"m actually suprised that I don't have any cavities. I smoke, drink coffee, eat junk food and haven't been to the dentist since I was like12

I've had cavities before. It doesn't hurt one bit. All they do is numb your mouth and you can't feel anything after that. If it hurts, you got a shitty dentist

It already hurts and i dont care anyway

The first cavity is always the absolute worst. It's like a bitter betrayal followed by some masked weirdo digging into your mouth with pointy things. I'm surprised Steven King hasn't written about cavities and dentists.

But it's very survivable and most of it is psychological - power tools aren't things that normally go into mouths after all. :D You'll feel like mush mouth crap for awhile after but that will wear off along with the weird fake tooth taste. Just watch what you drink after because dribble dribble. :D:D:D

And you can't even do that because if you don't eat anything or only eat light soft foods, your teeth start to go soft.Β

Can't win.Β

At least now they use sterilized medicated plasters for the filling so technically your new tooth should be better, stronger, and blend in better than the mercury-laced silver of the good-ol-days. :D

And that's only if the person giving the shots doesn't know what they're doing.Β  They have a spray that numbs the shot area and you never feel the shot(s).Β  Then comes the nitrous...

Speaking of the power tools... the SOUND of that shit scraping your tooth is a billion times worse than the actual pain. Because that damn sound almost tricks your mind into thinking you're in a lot of pain... but it's only your imagination running wild because of that god awful sound...
