Swimmod_Luna Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 As part of a routine physical. They had me put the cup in a little box after I finished. There were some samples of the previous people still in there, with names and birth dates clearly visible. Seems like a HIPAA violation. One of the people seems to be very dehydrated.

Clu Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 As I'm not a subject matter expert on this, I looked up many examples of people asking the question. Its office policy.

K_N Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 That is absolutely a HIPAA violation. All Personally identifying information MUST be hidden from view of all people who don't have a direct need to access it as part of their job duties providing medical care to said person or have specified written permission to view it by said person. Please, report them here: https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/filing-a-complaint/index.html
Vamped Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 That's how it is at every doctor's office I have gone to. One of the nurses was probably late collecting the samples.

Poof Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 i pee in cups for hormonal tests, std tests for work, and into a regular cup for work once. i am expert
NeurocideVibekillah Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 It's odd. I haven't had to pee in a cup for a routine physical since I was a little kid. I guess it depends on the doctor?
