pail Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Damn site wouldn't stop pestering me about the free trial, so I got it and stuck with it. It's really dumb on my part. Because I don't want 'Red' for any of the extra features, shows and shit. Nah. I shell out $15 a month for one reason. No. Advertising. Like I said it really stupid on my part, but after using 'Red' for a few months I just can't see going back to YouTube ads. It's just so much better when you can hop around the site freely without any interruptions.
André Toulon Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I haven't seen a red ad for like a year.....Maybe more. I didn't even think they still pushed that.

StarPanda Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I pay for Google play so YouTube red is included the only thing that i like is the no ads on my yt Videos
naraku360 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I fucking hate Youtube Red. I have it exclusively so I can listen to videos on my phone while doing other things. There's even a goddamn loophole to do it without, but ads mess it up and it's annoying to do for every single video. I try setting up dummy accounts for the free trial whenever I remember to cancel pre-payment since paying to listen to videos as background is complete bullshit.

TrigunBebop Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Nope, and I almost never see ads anyways. For some reason, ads almost never play when you watch YouTube vids via a Chromecast.

Swimmod_Luna Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 AdBlock Plus blocks ads on YouTube. I don't watch YouTube on mobile often enough to care about ads there.
Rogue_Alphonse Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 No, because I only get ads when I use my phone or tablet for YT. Normally if I watch or listen to music on YT, it’s on my PC and I don’t get ads. Usually I use Amazon or radio station apps to listen to music via my tablet.
Poof Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I did once just to listen to music from YouTube on my phone but I switched to Spotify

AnimationFan14 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 I got YouTube Red but quickly got rid of it once I realized it was mostly about music and not about communism 1

I guess I have had a couple times where the audio will work but the video is just a black screen, but it works if I just restart Chrome. I use ABP and uBlock Origin so maybe uBlock is actually the one blocking ads? 1
Sieg67 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 (edited) I've played with Youtube a bit with the Firefox mobile browser and haven't gotten any ads so far. Edited January 27, 2018 by Sieg67
