  1. It was one of his typically bad decisions. There was a reason I put that birthday thread in there.
  2. He was losing in here, so he had to carry it over to his birthday thread.
  3. Very very close. A truss is any engineered framework designed to transfer the load of a structure above to load bearing structures on either end of a span. Trusses are uses to support roofs (usually gabled) as you describe, but they're also used to support bridge roadways. The king post is a part of a truss, but it doesn't support the truss itself.
  4. Not good enough. What is a truss?
  5. Dumbass. You don't even know what a truss is do you?
  6. I already read the link from the clown college. A reliable source is someone in the industry, not some fucking for-profit operating out of a store front.
  7. No, a king post is part of a truss, it doesn't support a truss. You don't know shit, do you?
  8. His brother is probably didn't say any of this.
  9. Like I said, I've never encountered a construction coordinator that supposedly does what Kenny thinks he does. The way it sounds to me, a CC is nothing more than a job secretary. A superintendent handles all of the day to day construction responsibilities like scheduling, communication between the site and the architect and owner, and handling the minutae of building such as making sure every measurement is correct and everything is exactly where its supposed to be. A project manager (GC) is responsible for bidding, change orders, project closeouts.
  10. I always get a kick when this fuckwad tries to talk construction and carpentry with me. He doesn't know a damn thing about either.
  11. Okay, smart guy. What's a king post and how does it apply to commercial construction?
  12. No one in their right mind his handing your noob brother the keys to a $10 million construction project. People with decades of experience still fuck up things that could cost thousands of dollars and delay the project, so what makes you think that a part time college professor with no experience is going to just waltz in like nothing?
  13. Lol. Fucking liar. It takes at least a decade of field work to be hired to run a project.
  14. Don't ruin this, helps.
  15. Not that fuck, helps.
  16. Only one fuck actually matters.
  17. Fucked up man. But, at least Sawdy knows one of Kenny's credit card recovery questions.
  18. Well, not to get you unduly worried or anything. If your company issued you a handbook, you should check just to be sure.
  19. Too late....
  20. He knows about building codes, trade responsibilities, and scheduling all from writing a few contracts? He's going get buried the first day on the job.
  21. Were you following company policy while using that step ladder?
  22. Nope, because they couldn't.
  23. Something's got to make up for Bradley Cooper.
  24. Did you convince yourself the second time you said it?
