I guess I know what that's like. I don't have a set job description myself - I'm more or less responsible for everything in some form - so any time a new project starts, I do get a bit of anxiety as I navigate what needs to be done and who is responsible for doing it, and it used to feel an awful lot like I was going to die.

Prolonged anxiety can cause health problems, like those Jingai said and also high blood pressure. Disco's breathing exercise works wonders in the short term. In the long term, it helps to modify your behavior to mitigate stressors. Try to keep work at work (and by that, I mean the extracurricular issues, not work tasks), don't make it a habit of working overtime, stick to a balance of chores and socializing off hours, and get plenty of sleep. It won't stop the anxiety from returning, but compartmenalizing allows you to better address the individual causes when the anxiety pops up again. More often than not, anxiety that's bad enough to make you question your health is bad enough to be pervasive in your life.
