  1. That's not a meme, dude.
  2. Fucking hate that. Occasionally, when nothing is on, my mom will watch 48 Hours or one of those and I find something else to do.
  3. I have no idea why you would subject yourself to the ID channel. That shit is designed specifically to piss you off.
  4. What escapes? Last time she posted, she was dying from the rona.
  5. Inorite?
  6. 5’5” is a great height for kissing.
  7. I like that he's fired up.
  8. Got my second dose Friday. Had an elevated temperature, but no other symptoms.
  9. So, you're a butcher and you know where serial killers hang out?
  10. Hiking trail.
  11. Still? I doubt it was the best place 60 years ago.
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. A Night Sun is the light they put on the bottom of ghetto birds.
  14. Good butchers always clean up after themselves. Be sure to stock up on bleach.
  15. It's a know fact that all the photographers know the legend of Don Juan de San Diego. That's why they only bring their 400mm telephoto lens and Night Sun for a flash to his photo shoots.
  16. How could anyone take a report about janitors that inexplicably involves "germ theory" (whatever the hell that is) and creating a draft serious? Well, "caustic soda" would, but anyone else....
  17. Yes, you do lose your ability to speak a language when you don't use it regularly, but you also don't learn a language in a classroom (or a language lab... hated that lab). The thing your story doesn't describe is the process your grandmother used to switch between English, Polish, and Russian. The likelihood is that she would be able to speak Russian again if it was ever a necessity because she had learned early how to compartmentalize.
  18. You probably won't ever speak Mandarin either. Not that Zeni can actually speak any other language, but learning different languages is a valuable exercise in its own right. Learning different languages, even Danish, is valuable in understanding modern English both by comparing the languages to common roots and also in seeing how each language evolves (it's one of the reasons why a word's etymology is more important than its definition). Learning languages with different root structures also is a valuable exercise in learning the ways with which we process spoken and written word and can be immensely valuable to artists like songwriters, poets/prose writers, and even musicians. Additionally, learning any language can be a gateway to learning multiple other languages.
