  1. It's a Chihuahua... what the hell isn't wrong with it?
  2. "Best" in the sense that he was the one most likely to benefit from low turnout. His quality is by no means better despite the fact he's been less vocal than Masters about the usual Trumpian conspiracies.
  3. Let's also not forget that throwing money at Adam fucking Laxalt was also a losing proposition. He might not know this, but Laxalt is a perennial loser in Nevada in part because of his poor showing amongst Latino voters. You don't "win" by boosting a candidate that isn't going to carry a growing and important demographic. I mean, a freshman poli-sci student could tell you that.
  4. Pretty much all of the characters seem to suck more except for Norville, and that's because Shaggy was already generally speaking the worst.
  5. I think that's more Matt Getz' dog than Kevin McCarthy's dog
  6. I suppose that's subject to interpretation. If it's not, then you wasted two pages arguing nothing.
  7. Dude... who do you think you're talking to? We of the esteemed DDR don't just embrace trolling, we wallow in it. Plus, Sorce generally spikes on cow fucker at every opportunity, so I can't very well ask her not to pass up on it.
  8. Only exception, for completely unscientific reasons, is that there's not replacing 7-Up when you're sick with a cold.
  9. I don't think that's the dog he was referring to, but it'll do.
  10. So, we disagree. There you go.
  11. Right? Well, I revise my stance to agree somewhat that optics do matter but not as a direct qualifier. Interesting opinion piece in the LA Times showed up today: How optics appear has more to do with how much distance certain people can put between themselves and uncomfortable political situations. There was never a situation where Garland was going to charge Trump just for mishandling documents, and it had nothing to do with optics and everything to do with a highly complex prosecution for little to no judicial benefit. Trump's true menace has always been his ability to manipulate others, and, rightly, that's should be the focus of any investigation including the documents one. Still, Merrick has always had to contend with Democrats who equally feel the need to go after Trump in any way possible and have the expectation that any investigation end in some kind of official judicial response. The fact he is separating himself from the investigation into the Biden documents almost assuredly indicates that optics plays a role specifically in how the public sees partisan interference in official proceedings. MD isn't right in saying the optics are relevant directly to decisions, but she is right that it impacts how the decision making process is impacted by contributing choices.
  12. Only worthwhile thing cow fucker has ever done in his entire life.
  13. Sponges isn’t as articulate.
  14. The part where you apparently don’t get that I think it is the best way to handle them?
  15. What about emotions?
  16. Backed to covered wagons and copious ox farts.
  17. You’re not really doing it for your own sake either. You get nothing out of civility other than making them not bother you.
  18. Yes, in a time of extreme polarization. That’s not my point. The optics serve nothing more than to fuel a hyper partisanship that has already hamstrung the government to immobility. Obviously the point isn’t to ignore the proverbial fire beneath the smoke, and in times where both sides adhere to the same unwritten set of rules of conduct, breaching these rules has its own set of unintended consequences. But, this is a war of attrition where there is nothing left for either side to lose.
  19. Hillary would not have been charged. The only reason we know the server was there was because it was found there, not because of any potential leaks that came from emails stored on that server. We also have no indication that Hunter Biden was given or used those documents in any way. Your obsession with optics is exactly why we have a situation where McCarthy has to cut off his own dick to get the Speakership. The people who care about optics aren't interested in government, they're interested in playing political football, and they're going to be sorely disappointed when they realize he fumble they recovered isn't going to lead to a touchdown.
  20. That answers that.
  21. Oh I think they can. The point here is that you investigate what is of consequence, not just what breaks rules. That's not to say you don't charge people for breaking rules, just that you don't lose sight of what those rules represent. In this case, you investigate who saw those documents and what they did with them because the rules exist to protect the country from the wrong people getting access to those documents, the right people using those documents for the wrong reasons, and/or the documents themselves exposing other entities to harm. This comparison of whether Biden or Trump would ever be charged is patently absurd in the absence of any actual evidence to suggest that either man willfully or even negligently held on to the documents. (Edit: Pooh is right. There is at least some evidence that Trump intentionally kept documents, but that doesn't mean he intended to sell them or show them to people for nefarious purposes) It's not about optics, which is the entirety of your argument, and, yes, it very much matters. Also, what do you mean about there being no "smoking gun?" Assaulting a secret service agent to get to the Capitol in what was already known to be volatile situation? Him not ordering the National Guard to do anything even after the situation is known to have been a riot? THE FACT HE OPENLY TOLD HIS VICE PRESIDENT TO BREAK THE LAW IN ORDER TO HAND HIM AN UNDESERVED VICTORY? Are you just in denial about the fact that this episode of the mishandled documents is covering for clear evidence of a far more serious transgression?
  22. Why would they waste time charging Trump with mishandling classified documents when they can charge him with inciting an insurrection?
  23. I appreciate that Sponges is trumpeting your "epiphany" as if he's fully on board with the realization that he wants his PC to rape him. I always thought that was the schtick, but.... no, he really wants computers telling him what his dick tastes like and why it's all wrong.
  24. I think we’re in agreement, yeah.
