  1. Which one is more likely to have a firearm? Go to his side of the place.
  2. No "section" with this - store break room. But you could smoke anywhere in the store. A lot of the older coworkers smoked unfiltered stuff.
  3. I used to do that, but only because it was back before smoking wasn't prohibited in buildings. The older coworkers were frickin' chimneys.
  4. With you until the word "Parmesan".
  5. If you intend to give, you may want to wait until Tuesday to see if there will be matching. Some credit cards may match donations and some employers may as well if you donate through their sites. Feel free to add. https://www.charitynavigator.org/ - check out a charity for how much per dollar goes to those in need. * ratings for the charities listed are as of 11/30/2019. https://www.americares.org/ - **** 8x match through 12/6 https://www.stjude.org/ - **** https://www.redcross.org/ - *** (those who are willing/can could also donate blood) https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/ - **** https://www.worldwildlife.org/ - *** https://theoceancleanup.com/donate/ - (too new - not rated) https://www.aspca.org/ - *** https://whitefeatherfoundation.com/ - (too new - not rated) https://amazonwatch.org/ - ***
  6. Every frickin' winter...
  7. "oil can...oil can"
  8. and 100%
  9. I'm always never on here.
  10. The Warehouses would still have product to get rid of, there are State, County & Municipal laws that restrict how much product can be sent to a location that is closing, so the DotCom & remaining stores would have to deal with it. That is probably why they're having large Black Friday discounts.
  11. Those are not the only 2 possibilities. Companies can go full dotcom, big box locations can downsize (Sears) their location footprint or number of locations, they can sell out to another company (Montgomery Wards - part of Swiss Colony, Zayre - now TJMaxx, Woolworth's - now FootLocker, Marshall Field's - now Macy's), shrink from nationwide to a regional area, maintain the only profitable location(s) (Tower Records - Japan)... Then there are companies that "rent" the name. You'd be able to find Sears in Germany & Kmart in Australia, but they are not owned by the US Sears, there's some sort of financial agreement where the other companies can use the name.
  12. Dot com...and there's over 100 still, not including the Hometown stores.
  13. Mug o' Eggnog w/ a shot or two of Irish Mist.
  14. Sears had a bunch of stuff around 50% off. After all the closings, they're probably trying to lower their inventory.
  15. Didn't mean I wasn't around for the others - I always wanted to put sunglasses and stick a cigarette in the Teddy Ruxpin display's mouth.
  16. Well before Wii, it was Cabbage Patch Kids. Thankfully I was working overnights when that crap went down. For some reason, the Kmart in Chicago that I was at got a lot of "just out of Pontiac Correctional" guys, trying to rip the store off. Mgmt wasn't supposed to get involved with grabbing them, but when 3 security guys (all off duty CPD & CFD) are having trouble with one guy, I'd go for the legs so they couldn't get back up.
