I think I've mentioned this before on the ASMB - I was the Manager on Call one night & got called to the camera dept. The girl behind the counter said that the customer was visiting from Argentina, didn't speak English & her interpreter didn't understand what she wanted either. The customer wanted to buy a display camera (last one left) and kept saying "la Literatura?". I thought about it, summoned up 2 years of HS Spanish from 18 years prior and said, "Instrucciones?". The customer got really excited at first, nodding up and down repeatedly and yelling, "Si, Si!". Then she looked at (pale, white bread) me, then at her interpreter, then back at me and busted out laughing! I guess she couldn't get over the gringo understanding her before her interpreter.

Here's what someone posted to FB after TWC stated it was because the reporter was standing on grass unlike the cement the kids were on -

Actually, it depends on whether it has rained recently. Tends to grow faster after rains. Still, they should let it grow to about 3-4 inches so that the roots are deeper, it retains moisture better and helps block weed seed from getting to soil and germinating.
