Might be the igniter. When the thermostat senses that the temp is too low, it sends a signal to start a cycle. The fan may kick in to purge the cold air before the furnace engages, then the gas starts & the igniter is supposed to light the gas. A sensor is supposed to shut everything down if the igniter doesn't start, so you don't fill the place with gas.

All of this. But I have former coworkers & friends that moved there to retire (one is the former owner of a college town bar I used to frequent). One of the former coworkers is constantly posting temps, how they wear flip flops daily & how they had "winter" when it dropped to 60 F for a day. Those mobile homes are sooooo insulated for the weather they're gonna get.
