Not only do they refuse to acknowledge the hypocrisy, but some of them are now threatening the FBI and carrying out terrorist attacks. Every time somebody brings attention to an improper action Trump has done, somebody has to bring forth a non-equivalent, misleading or even completely false whataboutsim to try to justify his behavior. As Katt mentioned, Trump supporters have been harping on Hillary's emails for years but are willing to defend Trumps unlawful possession of classified and non-classified White House materials at his personal residence. This is why we call them cultist. They're immune to reason and let their emotions trap them into a tribalistic mentality. Edit: I should really proof read better.

So they knew Trump had Top Secret documents, tried to get him to turn them over himself and practiced a lot of patience by giving him a lot of time to comply because they didn't want to cause a scene. The search was completely justified. Way to just parrot points from his shitty lawyers.

So it turns out Trump posted about his passports being taken AFTER they had already given them back. Likely the only reason he knew they were gone in the first place.

And I'm not sure if this has been mentioned since I haven't combed through this entire thread but Trump increased the penalty of mishandling classified information from 1 year in prison to 5 years in prison likely as a response to Hillary's emails. Hilarious. Depending on the circumstances, this could be much worse if it turns out he violated the espionage act.

Let's recap here. He went from denying he has classified documents to claiming the FBI is going to plant evidence to saying he can magically declassify them by moving them from one place to another to then finally asking for them back. We've learned that the warrant wasn't spontaneous and that the FBI tried letting Trump relinquish the documents on his own terms. We also learned that his lawyer claimed that everything was given back during the first event months ago. What does he even need with them? It's not like he's the president. I think it's more likely that he's just an idiot but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that he was selling national secrets. I'm sure his bestie Putin would sure love to see them.

This certainly explains a lot.

If by some miracle Trump does get arrested, we should turn the event into a national holiday.

It wasn't even a raid. It's not like they busted down his door or anything. They simply carried out a warrant. Disregarding terminology, I'm starting to get a bit hopeful that he's actually going to face some consequences.
