Do any of you still dress up for it? If yes, have you thought about what you want to be this year? If no but have children who do, have they started discussing what they want to be? I know its still only August, but this is about when I start trying extra hard to figure out what costumes i want to wear and start gathering the pieces needed to assemble it. Still want to be The Warden but still having difficulty finding a purple suit that will fit me but not cost an arm and a leg

what did you watch after school growing up?
MEXobiologist replied to fuggnificent's topic in Free-For-All
i think that is why i watched it, otherwise, it was a little behind me, like... that was my lil brothers shit x100 cheesy kung-fu and japanese monster movies were a staple in my house, this was just a bit more appealing having been targeted for children. -

DBZ, Sailor Moon, and the dessert portion of great chefs were my after school programming in late middle school/early high school years > -

in elementary, all of the above, but no option for that though, i don't remember if they were on after school time slots -
I mean, it makes sense. I only even said arya cuz I feel like this damn show never takes anyone out that I want out. Lol. I have no actual theory on it. I do agree that Sansa seems to just about run her course of usefulness. I also feel like Cersei is not that far behind.... if her character continues at this pace anyway. She bores me these days. With the white walkers coming, I don't really see much future need for her role, other than a bridge to involve euron... or the mountain (dem bros gotta fight!)... for the time being anyway.

I haven't done the whole leak thing at all. I like looking forward to my sunday GoT parties >

her siblings* WHY IS THE EDIT FEATURE NOT WORKING KN[/member] ?!?!
-
yeah, my best hope is that Brienne or Podrick didn't actually leave winterfell and instead are waiting out the situation in the shadows. like, i hope she was smarter than that. clearly Sansa is having some insecurity issues over her role vs his siblings and Little Finger is just too conniving a presence to ignore.
-
well, if that truly is the case, it will be Arya. i only say that because i know i'd prefer it to be Sansa and most of the people i want to see dead or could do without, remain alive.

hey man, i remove and edit posts immediately if i see kill yourself comments and if they are quoted a million times, the thread gets dumped or sent to the hole. but i'm also kinda lazy when it comes to reading through every one of the threads in order to find those kind of comments. so you know... report button and all that jazz. we respond to those mostly, as usual. you know, i mean, if it really bothers you all so much that we aren't scouring through threads deleting all these vile wishes upon one another, i suppose as a group we could get together to discuss these things and whether or not to take a different approach. my guess though, it will just give everyone something else entirely to bitch about. |::

i think its a matter of cost. like, with two seasons left, where to you dump your money? the dragon and walker biz costs a shit ton to do. do you skimp on the battles that have to happen so that you can afford the extra build up, the scheming, information, and character development. i agree that its frustrating, i just think that is a very possible reason as to why.

that whole scene bothered the fuck outta me.

while i think the intentions of seeing a service held are good and right, i am not so sure that is do-able unless he literally had everything planned out for it. i say this because i'm curious, if his family doesn't have intentions on holding a service, are they intending to be involved in burial/cremation at all? because if not, it is to my understanding that the city receives his assets to offset the cost of them doing such. now it varies from place to place and some of my information might be outdated but it used to be that in most places you were buried in the cheapest wood casket without a marker in a city plot, though in some places, cremation is the more viable option for cost/space reasons. that may not be the case here, as it is rare that surviving family, no matter how estranged, would go the route of leaving the body up to the city. typically, the family would use the assets themselves to at least see to a semi-proper burial. but that does concern me. for a person to pass and not even have a marker of their life. i'm not sure why, but it feels highly important to me. things that i think would be within our grasp to do are, an obituary. i also think the idea of donating in his name is good. maybe some kind of local place that deals in reading/writing? or... there is a thing too, i haven't been able to find information through searching on the internet for his area, but generally speaking, you can also donate to parks in someones name and have a memorial plaque placed somewhere, usually on a bench. these all seem relatively viable options to honor his life. -
my mother with the best of intentions, pre ordered it for me v_v.... she just saw ghost in the shell and jumped on it. so i now own it. i've watched it twice and my opinion is much the same as sponges and cac... except that i would like to add, it could have been better, even given what it was, if half of the acting wasn't shit. there were parts where it seriously seemed like people taking turns reading a story aloud in class. i give extra points for Michael Pitt simply being in it though. i have a seriously unexplained captivation with this actor. its quite strange.

i was engaged once. in the early years of dating i saw signs of his alcohol abuse but questioned myself as being paranoid due to his family history of it. once he turned 21 it went way downhill though. couple years later and i could barely tell if or how much he had been drinking that day.... but the mood swings, lies, and increasing substance abuse of many other drugs were a bit too much for me to handle. once it was clear that no amount of support groups were making an impact, things were getting much worse, i cut the cord and a bullet was dodged. that was a very young and foolish me. as i've aged, i've come to realize that marriage is not for me... not related to my past, but simply that i do not believe in the importance of it in my own life. just the same, children. i want neither of these things.

thank you. i will keep checking back there to see if anything crops up and i will also just keep doing general daily searches to see if an obituary or services show under another funeral home. because like you said, i think some would like to send flowers with their condolences. also, at the very least, while we may not be able to bury the man, we can submit our own obituary should his surviving family choose not to be involved.... which i sincerely hope is not the case. so for the time being, i suppose we just monitor the situation. -
i don't actually prefer one over the other as i believe both have their own unique merits. The only reason i can't have a dog right now is time and affordability.... otherwise i would have one for sure and i believe my Rick and Morty babies would be a-okay with a new friend.

thank you very much dane. depending on the details of his arrangement, i'm trying to think of different ways we could honor his life since most all of us are scattered and limited in ways to do such. -

i am not now, nor have i ever been good at expressing myself when it comes to the many sentiments regarding death. a family member, a friend, an acquaintance, a co-worker, a friend of a friend, the family of a friend, a complete stranger.... i guess you could say that he was a little of all of those things in a way, to many of us... past and present. just reading through the posts here is proof enough of that. his long winded posts, emails, and messages, they were all proof that he was a listener and that he listened to all of us... even when we thought he wasn't. its heart warming to see now that it wasn't all that thankless after all, and that people still noticed. people still cared. people noticed that he cared. so thank you Admin[/member] (respectfully) and thank you to all whom have and will share their own special memories and kind words. rest in peace Admin[/member] , luuv, j. michael crow, john crow... you will be missed but you will also live on in our memories <3 -
Yep, also super weird to me. So like, you know what city he is in at all? Does anybody? Cuz, you can check that death shit in public records.
