I'm testing merging concurrent replies made within a certain time (1 min) because certain users are chainposting five posts a clip and have huge signatures, and it's really annoying. It definitely burned out Nothing can capture the simplicity of Jeopardy, and I think that's because every quiz show since has tried to outdo the previous one with flair and drama, when all viewers really care about in a quiz show is seeing the questions and getting to play along at home.

Manual Admin approval is really onerous, we had to do it because the last software package couldn't filter out bots. But there are a number of members who registered but never logged in because the moment was lost between them registering and someone activating their account. I tested out email activation after the switch, but those emails route to spam or just never show up, so I just turned it all off and it's currently insta-register.

so there was an update to the game, and now if I'm not touching the game, it will idle out after a bit and the phone turns off. it used to do this when the game first came out but stopped in the spring. if I need to have the game in my hand for the duration I am playing to keep it from idling out, especially now that it's cold out, I may as well not play on the walks to and from work. which is basically when I play and hatch eggs. the weird part is that when I put the game in my car cupholder, it doesn't idle out even though I'm not touching it.

i would like DF to have some sort of custom theme, like the background is on fire or something, so people have a better visual cue as to when they can do that like, check for the flames to know you're good to call someone a fuck face as your primary debate tactic. no flames, no bueno.

I didn't see an option to just ignore signatures, so I might have to turn on the option to ignore mods for that to work

So basically all donations are welcome and appreciated, but no one expects you to. The perk for donating is upgrading and running the forum, which donors kind of have to share with everyone else.

My suspicion is that the old forum allowed for more storage of PMs so the conversion totally overwhelmed the system. That suspicion could be totally off base, but I blame @Rogue_Alphonse for the idea.
