Oh fuck, this was something I probably should've seen coming but didn't because I was too focused on sequels and fare from the past year. Should be fun rewatching this one and comparing-contrasting Turner's ratings with my own. (I anticipate a number of TV-MAVs.) Also, a damn fine excuse to finally get off my ass and watch that dang movie!

I read a theory on Twitter claiming that it wasn't so much deliberate lying as it was the episode prepper for FUNi just adding one out of instinct. Outside of rattling the part of me who likes things to be as factual as possible, it really isn't that big a deal if you think hard and deep enough about it.

The effectiveness varies from person-to-person. What I mean by that is, any mention of the zombie apocalypse part of School-Live is spoilered on TV Tropes for the sole purpose of avoiding spoiling the obvious surprise for those who plan on going in blind. Same thing with Haruhi Suzumiya being God, even though everyone and their grandmother knows that she is.
