  2. No, I distinctly remember it being less than a week before the 25th. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-05-21/adult-swim-toonami-block-to-air-casshern-sins-deadman-wonderland
  3. And trying that got us an executive-mandated early announcement for Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins the Tuesday before Toonami's return. And with the lack of news now, after a whole evening's worth of block, the January 15th premiere may just wind up beating their record.
  4. Same. I watched all six episodes I planned on recording this morning in the hopes that one would show up somewhere.
  5. The effectiveness varies from person-to-person. What I mean by that is, any mention of the zombie apocalypse part of School-Live is spoilered on TV Tropes for the sole purpose of avoiding spoiling the obvious surprise for those who plan on going in blind. Same thing with Haruhi Suzumiya being God, even though everyone and their grandmother knows that she is.
  6. Mine's updated. (Spectrum)
  7. Full Dive 6 Godzilla: Singular Point 7
  8. With these three episodes, Naruto Shippuden not only matches, but surpasses Bleach as the longest-running program on [adult swim] in terms of episodes broadcast. 12:00 - Blade Runner: Black Lotus #9 - Free Will - TV-14LV 12:30 - Assassination Classroom #23 - Summer Festival Time - TV-14L 1:00 - Assassination Classroom #24 - Kaede Time - TV-14DS 1:30 - Naruto Shippuden #366 - The All-Knowing - TV-PG 2:00 - Naruto Shippuden #367 - Hashirama and Madara - TV-14 2:30 - Naruto Shippuden #368 - The Era of Warring States - TV-PG 3:00 - Cowboy Bebop #7 - Heavy Metal Queens - TV-MALS 3:30 - Cowboy Bebop #8 - Waltz for Venus - TV-14LSV Choke on that, Seth MacFarlane.
  9. WELL IT'S A GOOD THING IT'S TEMPORARY.
  10. Plus they're network premieres that haven't aired tens of times before.
  11. Hey, at the very least, it means it'll be over sooner.
  12. Takashi Tsuboshima and Ryuhei Kitamura certainly thought so.
  13. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean 4
  14. Akame ga KILL! was its name.
  15. Oh, I can think of several. Mob Psycho 100 II, Megalobox 2: Nomad, maybe Tokyo Ghoul:re, if Demarco's that desperate for content.
  16. Could Demarco's dream of viewers learning of a new show's broadcast the moment they sit down to watch it finally be realized with this seemingly constant suppression of information?
  17. AMC's Redo of Healer: Same message, but only 50% of the rape! Serious talk, I could see AMC airing Kaiji and Mr. Tonegawa.
  18. You didn't hear? You actually can post porn on Twitter.
  19. Magic Knight Rayearth 11
  20. And that would be why I said "vaguely". Making a thread about how certain groups of people dislike Toonami for putting dub premieres on lockdown can give off that impression to some people...
  21. Will you quit acting vaguely pessimistic for FIVE MINUTES!?!
  22. Angel Cop 1 Expect more OVA boom era shows from me this year.
  23. It's something we like to call a "slow burn". Besides, shows can be bright and cheery and age-appropriate-looking but still be serious crap. Ass Class's studio did that sort of thing before with their adaptation of School-Live!, a CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things) show in the middle of a zombie apocalypse that TV Tropes really doesn't want you to know about.
  24. Eh, Beckett's more suited for a career in creative writing than he is anime reviewing. He seems to show disdain for about half of the things he watches, to the point that it feels a little bit forced.
