A Place Further Than The Universe is my anime of the season, but Darling in the Franxx is starting off good. Still need to watch this episode coming up, but this was the season for top-shelf comfort anime like Takagi-San and Yuru Camp. Fate Extra and Kokkoku are interesting too, and I’d put those in a three way tie with Darling.

Both of them have refined tastes, admirable dedication to their respective passions in candy and coffee, and musky welcoming armpits. I wouldn’t fault anyone for choosing both.

He comes off as more of a villain considering his grudge for Peter, but there have been enough times they’ve worked together that he’s not 100% a villain. He’s probably the hero of his own story as many are, but I feel like many anti-heroes are more into doing low-key heroics than Venom is. Eddie is just much less of a bastard than Carnage, so he comes off like he’d be a better person without the anger he has for Peter fueling his criminal rampage as Venom

It sounds like the most unnecessary sequel ever made, and with most of the crew that made it going off to Trigger, I feel like it won't have the same spark that made the old series as great as it was. But I might as well give it a shot to see how it fares in comparison to what Gainax came up with all those years ago. Gainax is very different from how it was before, so there could be a new wave of animators from there that were just as imaginative as the ones in Trigger now. The itchy fingers they might have from EVA 4.0 being put on-hold for so long could help them go crazy with it if it isn't just us Americans throwing money at them to make it happen instead of it coming about naturally.

I'm tired of robo-calls. I finally blocked a number from Washington DC that kept calling and saying they were the IRS and have an arrest warrant for tax fraud unless I hand over my information. Then there's insurance and car robo-calls that keep calling too.

My only familiarity with the show's existence is how many unsold Pop Vinyl figures of the show surround store shelves.
