That’s what I was thinking. It’s something I could leave on and be cool with, but didn’t have quite the pull the main series had. I didn’t hate Lafita, but she did take a lot of the time that could’ve went into giving Aiz a personality, because even though it’s Aiz’s spin-off, they made her have as little personality as she did in Bell’s story.

I watched half of it. It was fun for the side cast like Loki, Tiona, and Tione, but Aiz wasn't a really good lead nor was Lefiya. I think people recommend the manga/novels more, but there's only a cameo appearance from Hestia in it.

DanMachi was a guilty pleasure of mine, so I'm happy to see that there'll be more Hestia, Tione & Tiona, and Loki in the works.

I watched it this weekend. It was a pretty fun movie, but it's still a Marvel movie, so it has everything you'd expect from a Marvel movie (an easy-to-follow "hero's journey" plot, one-liners and jokes, CGI sorcery, etc.). There was enough in Black Panther to make it a worthwhile watch though with how likeable T'Challa is as a protagonist, the fun that Andy Serkis and Michael B. Jordan have in their roles, how amazing the women of the film are, how well-shot some of the sequences are such as the heart-shaped herb segments and the scenes in Busan, and the soundtrack. To me, it's designated within the "Above Average" category as far as Marvel movies go, since I have a way of categorizing three types of Marvel movies: "Above Average" follows the formula, but has enough of its own personality and umph to it to stand out as a really good standalone movie. "Average" is something that's serviceable, but does absolutely nothing to differentiate itself from other films within the MCU. "Below Average" are objectively bad rankings. This would be an example of how I'd categorize the MCU: Above Average: Black Panther, Spiderman: Homecoming, Iron Man 1, Thor 1, Guardians of the Galaxy. Average: Avengers, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, Captain America 1. Below Average: Avengers 2, Civil War, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2 & 3, Thor 2. I really enjoyed the film though, and would give it alot of credit for still being able to pull off a good Marvel origin story formula without it feeling overly stale.

Are you only able to take small bites of those to avoid a bad trip, or is it possible to eat the whole thing?

Live action Sword Art Online IS happening, blame Netflix
Chapinator_X replied to Jman's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
The good news is that it has less of a chance of being bastardized into becoming the Eagleland adventures of Kerry and Alison in Global Strike Online, coming on The CW at 8PM. The bad news is that it's still Sword Art Online. -

My main question is how many new venereal diseases were created via the Olympic Village? -

Superhero Anime is All The Rage These Days
Chapinator_X replied to J.M. Matthews's topic in Anime & Manga
The Marvel Cinematic Universe makes billions, so naturally, some mangaka would want to ride the trend of making similar superhero stories to capitalize off of how successful the MCU has been on an international scale. -

When he said “This is Constantine. John Constantine, asshole.” He also threw up his middle finger in The Matrix and Constantine. He also had a sex scene with Trinity in Matrix Reloaded. -
So it’d be about a stove top who fails to excite the wok with the amount of heat he’s been bringing lately?

Peas are the grapes of the vegetable world.
Chapinator_X replied to SwimModSponges's topic in Free-For-All
I have a mixed relationship with wasabi peas. I enjoy wasabi and sriracha peas as snacks, but when they don’t have enough coating on them, it can be like eating an easier to chew popcorn kernel. I would definitely take wasabi peas over raisins though. -

They’re always thrown into snack mixes when they’re dried, but no one wants to eat either of them. -

Japanese Pair Team Skates to Yuri on Ice Song
Chapinator_X replied to ben0119's topic in Anime & Manga
I was wondering why it didn't sound like History Maker, but then I found out it was one of the insert songs. I need to pick it back up cause I got distracted and put it on hold after Yuri & Yurio's contest with Eros. -
How are anime women-girls any different than pornstars?
Chapinator_X replied to J.M. Matthews's topic in Anime & Manga
- You have very little likelihood of meeting one in real life. - You establish an emotional connection to them by jacking off to them repeatedly. Each nut fosters a relationship further to the brink of obsession. - They most certainly won't want to fuck or marry you, but that doesn't stop you from calling them your wife while you jerk it. - Fans get increasingly pissed if they're caught in romantic relationships, and grow resentful of those whose material is effected by their relationship status. -
Frieza is actually less evil than Beerus
Chapinator_X replied to mochi's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Knowing that Beerus was inspired by Toriyama's cat, it is absolutely believable that the Z-Fighters are conditioned to appease Beerus.
