I think that's why I'm pissed about the show. I had the foolish assumption that Episode 13 would set the tone for the show to get deeper into its lore and start clearly defining what's happening within the world and why the kids are in this situation. If they could outline Zero Two's past that well, imagine if the remaining episodes were more brisk about peeling the layers behind the Elementary, klaxosaurs, and the pilots' fates. Instead, Episode 14 set things back to how they were around Episode 5 when the show was sitting on its thumbs about whether they wanted to advance the plot in favor of showing Ichigo grapple with her unrequited love. It puts a pause on everything and only sets the story up to be explained in a clumsy rushed info dump because they spent too much time on teen drama to set the world up properly. The threats on the screenwriters/producers are insane, but they shit the bed by pressing the reset button. They needed to learn from Little Witch Academia that you can still have events happen outside of the main plot in the first half for character development/familiarity as long as you dedictate the second half to answering the questions you propose and tying up the loose ends. This Ichigo development is a detrimental setback to pad out the second half and waste valuable time that could've been spent on explaining shit by adding dramatic flair to the seperation arc.

Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize in Music for "Damn."
Chapinator_X replied to Bouvre's topic in Free-For-All
True, in the Music Pulitzer's history, popular artists were merely given an Additional Citation like Bob Dylan or Hank Williams. Where it came down to timing that the one year that they opened up to looking out for a popular musician as opposed to classical or jazz musicians, it'd be the year where DAMN. came out and thought into his other discography wasn't something they had in mind during 2012 or 2015. -

Kendrick Lamar won the Pulitzer Prize in Music for "Damn."
Chapinator_X replied to Bouvre's topic in Free-For-All
It's pretty impressive for Kendrick since he's the first winner that isn't a classical symphony artist or a jazz musician, but To Pimp a Butterfly and Good Kid M.A.A.D. City are more deserving of a Pulitzer than DAMN. TPAB especially was an amazing cohesive album and felt far more meaningful in comparison. -
To be honest, you might just have to try your luck at thrift stores and see if they have something that isn’t a stray volume of a mid-2000’s shoujo manga. Amazon would be ideal, but with the cost of shipping, it’s the same price as buying it new at Barnes & Noble. Unless they are charging a couple cents for a used copy so the shipping would just make it $6, you’ll be paying $8-15 for most manga used or new.

I thought the last episode made this already abysmal show even worse and set back any world building that could’ve been done by foregoing the teen drama and Ichigo taking advantage of an opportunity that would never work out, but it’s going overboard to threaten most of the staff involved. Despite hating the episode, it was still very effective and made me curious about what will happen as the end result of Ichigo fracturing most of the competent pilots. It didn’t make me think I should send angry letters to the people who make this show happen or send death threats. If everyone survived the show’s first few episodes of cuckholding, Ichigo taking advantage of Hiro and Zero Two at their most vulnerable state should gel just fine with time. Otaku are crazy so they would go out of their way to do shit like this because a show has drama or cliffhangers or twists this ballsy. It is a testament though to how popular this show will be in retrospect when fans will talk about “Episode 13” and “Episode 14” the same way they discuss moments in other spectacle anime like Gurren Lagann or Code Geass. Still shit, but damn did it make people freak out.

I’ve played every Yakuza game since the PS2 except for Yakuza 2 (never got around to buying it back when they sold PS2 games everywhere). Love the series and how it’s come so far from a GTA-friendly English dub where everyone and Mark Hamil curses up a storm, to having content delayed and removed because Sega’s American branch was out of touch, to eventually being celebrated for all of its fun and quirkiness now that it hit its stride in the West. I want to get Song of Life soon cause it looks amazing, but I still have 5 and 0 to wrap up so it might take some time before I can justify getting it. I’m kicking myself for not downloading the early demo with access to the full game.

I wish James Corden would just come out already.

Would James Corden enjoy his character from the Emoji Movie digging in his cheeks? -

I absolutely loved the last episode’s flashback with 02 and Hiro’s relationship when it first started. It was cute, adorable, and meaningful. It gave us potential for something more than just teen drama bullshit and gave Hiro & 02 more to work with. And then this episode happened. Ichigo truly is the antagonist of this show, trying to force herself on Hiro after the fucktons of times he didn’t return her feelings. And yet, she never got the hint and used the sentiment against 02 to force her out and wedge herself into Hiro’s life against his will yet again, as if that worked the first time. Fuck off Ichigo. No one likes you, and you’ve done so much to make this show actively worse whenever you show up. Well, Goro does, but he deserves better than your thottery after she up and did all of this in front of him.

we should get Jeff Sessions high

And on top of that, cover the tracks from his own criminal wrongdoing. It's like how he would go on a Twitter war with Russia to make it look like that would absolve him from collusion accusations, except this is a personal bid to have people think he couldn't possibly have been a patron to numerous sex workers in his lifetime if he made laws against their existence. Everyone knows he's bullshitting, but people either don't care or don't have the power to expose him in a way that has him face any actual consequences. -
I just can't imagine Super Troopers 2 being good.

I still remember Anchorman 2, and shudder. -
I’ve always been curious about DxD because fan service shows are always nice, but it’s interesting to hear that there’s been such a tumultuous history with the author and the anime because of the final episode. At the very least, it was that one episode they had to retcon and not entire seasons like what they had to do with Blue Exorcist or Black Butler. And damn, this is the first time I’ve heard Scott Freeman had to retire because he was busted for child porn and disowned by Funi. I guess it’s because most of his stuff was bit roles or shows I watched subbed, but it does make his character on Index a lot creepier in hindsight. Between him and Cromartie High School’s Hayashida having to retire because he married his 16 year old student, these Texas VAs are wild.

I’m a current user on the Adult Swim forum. Day in and day out, the king greets me with his bewilderment as he pulls a lever on his computer. Every day I expect him to pull the right lever, but he keeps choosing the wrong one. I’m sure he’ll find the right one soon.
