  1. I've seen it, but the movie's from 1955 and the demand for romantic spaghetti between then & now is limited to Disney mega-fans from the ages of 20 to 100. Pasta is no longer an exotic dish, especially since anyone can make it at home. With steak and seafood, that can be tricker to obtain, so the demand seems more centered around making those taste great and the pasta just merely serviceable. And with the Pocky game, there are much more sensual ways of using food to meet lips than doing PDA at a restaurant.
  2. It’s hard to find someone that recommends the spaghetti. They’ll brag about how much effort went into their meat or seafood, the pasta being home-made, the sauce being perfect, the drinks being tasty, or the produce being fresh but no one ever says “They have the best plate of spaghetti in town!” Even “this is the best pasta I’ve ever had,” comes off like a rarity in reviews in comparison to how juicy the meat is, or how flavorful the sauces are. Or the added emphasis is more what goes on the pasta than the pasta itself. Is it just because it doesn’t take as much effort to make pasta well? Or is it that gnocchi has more effort put into it that bragging about spaghetti would be strange? Like “congrats, you didn’t fuck up spaghetti!” When I said out loud to myself that somewhere had a nice plate of spaghetti, it didn’t sound right. Unless the place was well-known for making fresh pasta, would you invite a significant other out for a fine pasta dinner? Lucious wine, candlelight ambience, spaghetti.
  3. Michael Anthony pushed his mom too far when he told her to bring him his coffee from the one Tim Hortons without a manager.
  4. They really did slap everything against the wall and hoped something would stick with Mitsuru. His debilitating illness also hasn't come into play recently, but that's a thing I imagine might pop up out of the blue to completely undo all the development he's had up to this point. Whether that means he collapses after the honeymoon or gets Kaji'd once Papa gets the wind of him giving Kokoro the dickings is anyone's guess.
  5. If tomatoes didn't have gunk in the middle, they'd be top tier
  6. Mitsuru's journey has been weird as shit.
  7. I've got a photographic memory of the 90's, and remember it fondly. I was too young to reap all the benefits of the era, but I was able to enjoy things like going to rollerskating rinks, climbing trees in the neighborhood, visiting the mall's arcade, and playing at parks. The internet didn't come to our household til much later, but when you're that young, visiting friends/cousins, going places, or Playstation was good enough. My most vivid memories come from music and movies, or rather going to the movie theater and and seeing all the posters, or listening to music at the mall, Borders, or department stores. I know nothing about life in the 80's, but it's something I've always been curious about. Most of my fascination with the past is with the 80's and 90's as well, so much of my interest is in seeing how society's take on the future formed as technological innovations were just beginning.
  8. It's been ages since I've had Taco Bell. I remember it either being the bean burrito, the regular Grilled Stuffed Burrito, or the Nachos Supreme. Baja Blast Mt. Dew is great too.
  9. Yeah, it's Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori, a new show about guys running a tea shop. I wanted to recommend it to her because she likes glasses guys and cats, and it's got both.
  10. Happy birthday Cid!
  11. Mashima definitely owes alot of his series' success to One Piece with how much influence it has on his characters' traits and designs, but he does have a lot of talent with making quality ecchi. It's like how people were saying that Tite Kubo had a hidden talent at drawing high fashion, and the haute couture clothing he had his characters wear was as detailed and on-point as the breasts he drew. Even though many of Mashima's characters have the One Piece feel to them, Oda is more deeply rooted in cartoony visuals and his penchant for big breasted women never impacted his interest in making everyone look like they fit within the cartoon universe. The true distinction Mashima's work has that sets him apart from all of the OP influence he's carried into his work is drawing more enticing, visually-appealing bodies, especially for the women in his manga. Every curve and detail of the female anatomy is shown in glorious detail. I might think the story of Fairy Tail is extremely abysmal, but the butts, thighs, and boobs of that series are fuego. I haven't seen Erza Scarlet once in this thread (she is 19 though, so she's one of the most legal of the main cast), but allow me to enlighten you.
  12. I didn't know Danmachi had a phone game. The most I've spent on a phone game is Fate/Grand Order, but that's because their gacha is notorious for having low rates and they're cheap with how much free currency they give you as opposed to other games like Fire Emblem Heroes where they've gotten more generous with free currency and 5* rate-ups.
  13. Sorry, my gambling is strictly centered around throwing my money at phone games for a 10% chance of acquiring waifu JPEGs.
  14. There's no replacing Christopher Lambert. He captured Raiden's wisdom with some fun mischief in-between. They did pick a decent Shao Khan, but their replacement for Raiden was pretty abysmal as was giving him short hair because that's the best they could do.
  15. I was also a fan of Johnny as a kid and was disappointed he was killed in the first 5 minutes. There wasn't much of a reason to do so when he could've tagged along with the rest of the party. They also made it impact the game's canon by having his death and resurrection be a part of MK4.
  16. I still enjoy both MK movies as corny as they can be and as terrible as Annihilation was. If you're in the mood for cheesy 90's action movies, they hit the spot.
  17. That sounds familiar, but I am startled since I got a kudo from her in the last entry on the Wayback Machine.
