UFC prelims were number 2, but without a lot of the public gathering places to watch the PPV (and social distancing making parties a no-go), it may not hit the ratings as hard.

It’s funny, because the anime industry nearly imploded last economic downturn in the age of 4 episode per DVD volumes. The changing nature of distribution has made the industry a lot more resilient.

Linear television is down as a whole from what I’ve seen. It’s either stuff that has aired elsewhere, or in the case of PA, stuff people didn’t want to watch the first time.

They did something similar when they offered the Nozomi USA catalog for streaming. It’s a matter of bulking up their proprietary service, especially with so many simulcasts on delayed schedules.
