I graduated high school in 2002 and never had any friends after that the whole rest of the decade. >_> All the while focusing on underground metal and classic rock instead of then-modern mainstream stuff. EDIT: I guess I should clarify that I was acqainted with nu-metal as one of the radio stations I listened to played a lot of it, but that was pretty much the only type of then-modern music they played.

I am not familiar with that one, but listening to it now, it's kind of comical, actually. ;D It's like beatboxing but for a genre completely unlike rap (what that genre would be, I have no idea).

Seconded on the coffee. I was never a coffee drinker, I always preferred soda for my caffeine. But over the summer my doctor ordered me to cut it out (I settled on cutting way back instead), and coffee is my new best friend. ;D

I am enjoying today's mainstream rock a lot more than that of the early 00s. I generally like the Volbeat songs I've heard on the radio, and I've been meaning to check out their latest album. The Pretty Reckless have a pretty decent album from 2014. Even a couple bands I didn't care for in the 00s have songs out now that I enjoy (Shinedown and Disturbed). Heard a song by Avenged Sevenfold's new album on the radio today, that was pretty cool. Metallica's new album and singles from said album are miles better than anything from St. Anger. Earlier this year, Kaleo had a real cool song on the radio, but unfortunately, it's not at all representative of their sound, so eh. Early 00s mainstream rock was among the all time worst mainstream rock, imo.

I thought the story went that Lazzo told Dino to make the show darker, Dino complied, then Lazzo decided it was TOO dark and canceled it.
