Panic attacks have a 'life span' of about 30 minutes, after that your body will shut it down and things will subside on their own. It sucks but at least it has a time limit. Acid reflux can burn and pull at the insides. It can make it hard to breath but little things can ease it. I find milk is helpful. Bread too. Basic things to help suck up the acids. You might also try a new pillow and sleeping at a slight incline to tamp down on reflux. Heart attacks and strokes - even if it only mild - can hurt like a bitch. Left side numbness isn't always the biggie, the signs can also appear in the lower back and the neck. You will find that breathing, especially deep breaths of any kind, are incredibly difficult and that just makes you want to take them even more. Body temperature can be affected. You might hear rushing water in one or both ears [ it's a current tell for me that my blood pressure is going up too fast and I need to step back and take a pill or two ] . Concentration can be like trying to move your mind through cotton candy. Blurry eyesight. It's like running a marathon standing still and each one is a little harder to recover from.

Still waiting for that check.

I think I'll just leave my phone in the bottom of my bag and go to bed with the tv timer set. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THEN? ALL YOUR ANNOYANCE OUTLETS ARE BELONGING TO ME!

I haven't watched Food Network since they stopped having classic poorly dubbed Iron Chef marathons. That frame-by-frame was definitely something. Like a black hole forming right before our very eyes.

That is the look of a stroke in progress as the body rejects life itself from whatever the hell you just drank.

Yeah. I'll get working on that high arc right away.

rants Haters/Complainers: Legacy of Spleen
katt_goddess replied to mthor's topic in General Discussion
Dear bitchcakes, I love the hell out of you but I need my sleep too. You sleep all day. And then you decided to have a vomit festival at 3a this morning because you were unhappy with the litter box and had emptied your water bowl washing your paws after destroying the box. You know we don't have a vacuum right now. You were there when it died. Stop making messes and waking me up in the middle of the night. -
Heh, Luuv called me that once. Now I haz a sad.

rants Haters/Complainers: Legacy of Spleen
katt_goddess replied to mthor's topic in General Discussion
I hate visitors and I hate vacuuming. Damn vacuum decided to go on permanent strike halfway through the living room. I have an insurance idiot coming by tomorrow to do the usual "this is your policy that we never want to do anything with anyway, can I get you to take on additional policies that we will never pay up on?" 10 year visit. Enjoy the kitty sands, bitchcakes had a tantrum and they are not going anywhere until I can and I can't because I have to be home for your stupid visit. -
I still don't like spam. But I'm saddened that there will never be another chance to hear the menu read live again. Pick the comfiest chair, Mr. Jones, and put your feet up. You deserve it.

Yes and no. While I did consider light spectra analysis [ at least from the human side of current knowledge ] , there are for us still elements that tend to 'share' the same wavelength. We aren't as fine tuned in things as we'd need to be in order to travel safely somewhere else. I'm not going to assume that another civilization would be stuck on the exact same problem but it is still a problem. It would be like 'knowing' a place is rich in oxygen and going there only to find out it's liquid oxygen that's perpetually on fire or something. <--- weird and stupid example but it's just an example.

Coca-Cola reveals new ice cream-inspired Vanilla Float flavor
katt_goddess replied to helpme's topic in Foods & Drinks
Meh, Vanilla Coke isn't really my favorite but I think it depends on what 'type' . The one in the bottle doesn't do much for me but I once had a live mixed version at a soda shoppe. That was good. Maybe it they just had a better handle on how much syrup to actually use to get that particular blending whereas the already bottled flavor is preset and that's it. -
To think that humans are the only possible life in the entirety of this universe is ridiculous. This isn't the only planet that falls within what is considered the habitable zone, new potentials are discovered all the time as our ability to scan and interpret the data received gets better. And that's just zones suitable for carbon-based lifeforms. When you consider that we have organisms that thrive in volcanic vents and gross spiders in Antarctica, things get a little more exciting. Actually visiting here is suspect though. This solar system isn't on the galactic plane [ we are slightly above the plane and at an angle ] and we aren't part of the nearest spiral. We are also surrounded by an Oort cloud which I sometimes wonder if it doesn't insulate some of our radio waves from traveling outwards. So traveling here would be a pain in the ass and entirely out of the way of any potential routes. To get here, they'd have to bring their own fuel to make the round trip because they wouldn't know if there was anything here that would work as fuel for the trip back. It's basically the same problem we have just sending anyone to Mars - it's a 2 year trip there with no gas stations along the way. Our only bonus in that is that we know most of the composition of Mars at least. An outer system visitor wouldn't know for sure what they might be able to use here. Summary - Earth is the Deliverance of planets and no one really would visit here willingly.

I DON'T LIKE SPAM! And scrapple looks like meat-vomit. Fun fact, I watched Flying Circus when I was like 5 because my mom thought everything on PBS was educational. Yeah...
