  1. And they had the VAs for the anime apologize for nothing in particular as damage control... a meat shield, if you will. It's not a stretch to say that the anime is ruined FOREVER. I mean, they've fired every other person who made the original anime into what it was. Anything made in the future might as well be a completely different show. </3
  2. Knight's & Magic #13 (END) The iDOLM@STER #2 Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat #10 to #12 (END)
  3. From a technical standpoint, this is nothing to do with Toonami. But it still sucks. Also, "What I Remember Of The Crash" is [adult swim]'s standard 404 page.
  4. That's some surprisingly good retention across the board. And the back end continues to gain between the shows, even if it's not a whole lot. I'm satisfied.
  5. Yeah. If there's anyone one show that should be considered spoiling the sheets, it's the one with the gentleman thief. But it's down low enough that there isn't much they can do other than not air more of it.
  6. It's not a good day in the anime world, to be honest. Who knew this world, created so we could get away from politics, ends up imploding on itself? Kemono Friends fired its director, who was responsible for pretty much the entire script of the first season and much of the CG modeling. So I guess Kadokawa wants to sterilize the series for more general audiences... completely ignoring that the show only became popular because of that. And One-Punch Man S2 is being animated at a different studio with a new director. Now, the animation quality of the show had to do with the freelancers that were brought in. If enough of them want to come back, this one might not be so bad... but I would step with much caution. Man, talk about lots of negative news. Next you're going to tell me that the U.S. Senate is going to vote on taking away 32 million peoples' health care by the end of the week...
  7. Man, that joke gets more prophetic every week. I won't do something like it again. shithead But now, it's time for something I'm sure two people have been waiting for... The iDOLM@STER Episode 1: "The Idols Start Here"
  8. Did you only post that picture of Brock because he's shirtless?
  9. So I guess Pre-Flight was a bust. Meanwhile, the on-air hasn't changed much, but it does list 10/7 as having the Dragon Ball hour air normally. Midnight to 4:00 is still blank, as well as 11-4 the following weekend.
  10. It would make Poke happy and piss Ben off to no end. So why not. I'm still skipping this show intentionally, but I'll be back to watch the finale just to see how nihilistic and incomprehensible things have actually gotten.
  11. The Eccentric Family #1
  12. I guess we'll have to watch the new Pre-Flight and find out. But I don't see any good reason not based on emotion to get rid of it. ::]::
  13. Probably not. They're slow to add things in.
  14. For a forum that spun-off from [adult swim]'s official one, I'm shocked it took until now for the correct thread to be made. I still care, so maybe I should've made it...
  15. It's hard for me to accept that Toonami will ever air another non-TIE (and non-TOM?) microseries. Like, it feels like one of those things they just don't want to use effort on. Sand Whale and Me was obviously the grand exception... but look at how that turned out. shithead And for the people playing along at home (here on the Internet), Fear the Walking Dead is intentionally set as a prequel, and it doesn't air during its parent series. That would be silly... and yet Gundamception is only an inherently bad idea for ratings.
  16. Jason joined the DSA about a week ago. I have to wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing socialist propaganda on Toonami. Steve Blum might be interested as well. I haven't seen Kakegurui, but going off of my small bit of Anitwitter I'm not sure I've seen one person even reference it. I would assume the most popular anime of the season, excepting continuations, is Made in Abyss, even considering the Amazon handicap. Tsuredure Children also gets around, but it's not an action show by any means... and I've personally been disappointed by it. |:: As for this week's Toonami ratings, I would assume enough people were weirded out by JoJo's to have it lose out. But one bad week won't make a show move down. And Gundam IBO was never really a ratings powerhouse either, so I have no idea if they'll do a swap or not.
  17. Knight's & Magic #12 Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. #12 (END)
  18. Kemono Friends. There's your DST hour special right there. Seriously, fucking do it. I'd be okay with anything DeMarco does for the rest of his life if he could make it happen.
  19. The iDOLM@STER #1 (rewatch) WorldEnd #8 and #9 Knight's & Magic #11
  20. What the... am I seeing things? Have they finally rated a DBZ Kai episode without the L? Next week's episode is like that, too. How potentially amazing. I still have to watch Outlaw Star and Bebop before getting to tonight's broadcast, but I hope all of it is enjoyable.
  21. Surprise! I mean, yeah, I was supposed to post this thing a lot earlier, but after being forced to do a clean install of Windows and not having access to Paint.NET for a while (no major offense to the GIMP fanboys, but I couldn't use the software for the life of me... grumble grumble), here is the glimpse into alternate history our fathers never promised. Birdy the Mighty: Original Series Review I'd say that's enough. Next week, new show. I'll leave the starting time for that as another surprise.
  22. I have FLCL 2 predicted for a February start, though that might be a little too early. However, I do think that, going off of the previous comment about JoJo's Part 3 being split cour, it could replace that show when it ends, probably in February. And then JoJo's could pick right back up again with the new arc when it's done, though I don't have that exact move on either chart.
  23. Right now, stability is the key. 11:00P has a chance to do better if they just let it grow an audience organically. And as for FLCL 2... you know, JoJo's Part 3 was spread out into two seasons of 24 episodes each. I have to wonder if the Toonami run will take a break then. They could fit that in the open slot, or they could play a different show of around twelve episodes.
  24. Well, after that pop-up adventure, the ratings are out. As expected, a brutal showing. It took until #36 for anything not related to Irma or college football to show up. DBZ Kai was at #47. However, if you look at the raw numbers compared to two weeks ago, most of it was stable. Lupin even rated over 500K and had its best individual performance since July. Now, I can't stop you from being mad at anything, but hopefully you all take my preferred path. [8OOth post]
  25. Skirt no Naka wa Kedamono Deshita. #11 Puella Magi Madoka Magica #4 and #5 [always a new nightmare]
