  1. One Piece Film: Gold The iDOLM@STER #7 The Ancient Magus' Bride #2
  2. Yeah. Having an active streaming presence means this. I watch Crunchyroll most often through my Wii U. Stuff like that is a much more practical solution than clunky linear website marathons you have to carve out several hours of one day to watch. If an individual [adult swim] app is too niche, do one for all the Turner networks combined. It's not that hard.
  3. One Piece Film: Gold - 7.5/10 More than anything else, it was nice to get acquainted with the franchise once more. I didn't find it overlong, though the final act did drag some and it seemed to contradict the central gimmick of brains not being outmatched by pure strength. Also, the movie had too many references to watersports.
  4. I'm surprised nobody went for the thread (but I did so in a status) if only to call out their Anime Wednesdays.
  5. I think the Lupin replacement will be Knight's & Magic.
  6. Okay, let's give this a try. So I'm going to do it and another episode on Friday. It'll make up for a possible break on the first weekend of December. I mean, I want to do something special... finally wrapping up loose ends and all, but it'll depend on whether or not the box set is in by then. The iDOLM@STER Episode 6: "The Decision to Move Forward"
  7. Well, at this point, I really don't know what to think. There's a chance DeMarco could be lying, but I don't think that is for as long as the block keeps expanding like this. Maybe he just wants the ad rates to be low enough so the DSA can advertise during Toonami?
  8. Blend S #4 to #7 The Ancient Magus' Bride #1 (rewatch) Puella Magi Madoka Magica #7 and #8
  9. I think you just have to go to a post from the prior board that was converted and copy it over, then change the inside text.
  10. For the first time in what is similar to, but legally distinct from forever, Hunter × Hunter is on the stream. And as luck would have it, the very first thing you see after Pre-Flight ends is Gon entering Greed Island for the first time. So it's probably gonna be #61 to #65 all week. Not bad, even though moving ahead so far means the Yorknew arc will never appear in a marathon.
  11. So for Countdown, one of the TOMs blew up the Earth, or at least an Earth-like planet prone to nu... Nutella-focused meltdowns. It also has some confusing time travel rules. So if you can just replace your current self with a version from the past and take their place, I guess TOM didn't realize that his early version could set right what he thought went wrong. Go figure. But he also left behind that hologram, so it's uncertain which plan he felt had a better chance of success; in other words, huh. This is probably the weakest TIE of the new era, at least in my opinion, but it's still fun. I honestly wasn't too impressed with JoJo's this week. The idea of Enyaba being able to bring back the Stands of departed villains has a lot of potential, probably for more than two parts, but they focused too much on Polnareff in the disgusting bathroom, plus the licking, and then Star Platinum swallowed Justice just like that? It felt like an ass pull. But on the plus side, at least Hol Horse is still around, so this is no longer just a binary matter of getting to Egypt for DIO. I hope the show stays that strong.
  12. So we've got a good thing going here now, but it still needs work. For one, while I can do spoilers through a technicality, the text that shows up is almost invisible. I don't want to have it so that I need to change the text color before posting. Also, we need an option to change the number of posts on a page. I know other people don't mind it, but this is really throwing me off.
  13. Actually, Hiromi Tsuru wasn't the only major anime death to happen this week. Because the network that brought us Three Fabulous Weeks of Ani-Wednesdays will soon be no more...

I had a feeling something was going to happen to them after seeing them quietly disappear from my cable package...

LOL, yeah. I'm in the awkward position of simultaneously pitying them but also wondering why this didn't happen sooner.

  14. Hey, pretty much anything is possible at this point. Toonami will be airing in prime time for the first time since it the original block was cancelled back in 2008, and I think more people should realize just how big that is. It's a totally new frontier for the newest iteration. In fact, I feel that most of our fandom had 11:00 as the limit of how early the block should air regardless of how optimistic about that. I honestly think that's the perfect start time, since while I'm not the sort of person who goes out and does stuff that often, I don't want to have it interfere with the potential to do something. But at this point, a 10:30 expansion seems to indicate they have even bigger plans for the block. Could a Toonami starting at 8:00P (and lasting until midnight or 1A) happen? Honestly, I'm not sure their endgame can be anything else. And if it's the latter, they could even bring back the block rerun from 1:00 to 6 and have all of Saturday be anime. And that would be on a completely different level.
  15. "Supposedly" must be the actress' last name.
  16. Well, 10:30. And that's technically in prime time, so I guess Toei might be accepting.
  17. For this show, I have to wonder if watchability is a thing that counts as an actual issue. Pretty much everyone involved with the production wants it to be a huge thing, from Pierrot, to whoever's airing it (I thought I heard it was TV Tokyo), to the English licensors. Hell, Crunchyroll plans to show it in the fucking theaters a few weeks from now. This is a pretty big reason why I've become disillusioned with the anime industry in recent months. They pretty much force you to watch every show through coded advertisements. In fact, seemingly a day doesn't go by on CR's website without an article telling you to "get hooked" on anime that just came out, regardless if they're actually good or not. And then there was that promotion they did where you could watch episodes of eight shows, Black Clover included, to win a trip to Japan. I just don't like how they operate like a ruthlessly efficient business, is all.
  18. So it's a Family Guy sandwich with Cleveland as the skewered pickle. I don't mind this, even if the latter shouldn't be aired anymore.
  19. Holy fucking shit. This pretty much explodes how I thought the block would be run for the distant future. I genuinely don't know how to think right now, other than... I don't think we should complain about the Toonami ratings ever again.
  20. Well that's a damn shame... she seemed to be in most of the classics. I was wondering if Mochi would make this thread first. But I actually thought about taking it from them, or whoever else.
  21. Amen to that. It's part of the reason why I still want another on-air JoJo's marathon. And not to mention, Polnareff's introduction in #5 is not an evil cliffhanger, but something that could easily make you keep watching.
  22. So I guess you can enable spoilers with this software... somehow. I would assume it has something to do with collapsing quotes, and maybe changing the banner to something different. They probably have a special setting for that. Here's what I copied over from my thread:
  23. Well, that makes two of us.
  24. Maybe it's Twitter making me preconditioned to the roundness, but I have no strong opinion on that. The timed edit thing is... both good and bad. I get why it's there, but it probably shouldn't be this restrictive. It locks you out of editing OPs, which I'm sure those who make threads for the weekly Toonami broadcast aren't going to like, as well as myself, because I have my thread for content ratings and I wanted to update it to feature more recent shows. Oh, and the formatting broke, since we don't have the "glow" function anymore.
