It's hard for me to accept that Toonami will ever air another non-TIE (and non-TOM?) microseries. Like, it feels like one of those things they just don't want to use effort on. Sand Whale and Me was obviously the grand exception... but look at how that turned out. shithead And for the people playing along at home (here on the Internet), Fear the Walking Dead is intentionally set as a prequel, and it doesn't air during its parent series. That would be silly... and yet Gundamception is only an inherently bad idea for ratings.

The Toonami Ratings Thread 1.0 :You are on a new board
Blatch replied to StarPanda's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Jason joined the DSA about a week ago. I have to wonder how long it'll be before we start seeing socialist propaganda on Toonami. Steve Blum might be interested as well. I haven't seen Kakegurui, but going off of my small bit of Anitwitter I'm not sure I've seen one person even reference it. I would assume the most popular anime of the season, excepting continuations, is Made in Abyss, even considering the Amazon handicap. Tsuredure Children also gets around, but it's not an action show by any means... and I've personally been disappointed by it. |:: As for this week's Toonami ratings, I would assume enough people were weirded out by JoJo's to have it lose out. But one bad week won't make a show move down. And Gundam IBO was never really a ratings powerhouse either, so I have no idea if they'll do a swap or not. -

Kemono Friends. There's your DST hour special right there. Seriously, fucking do it. I'd be okay with anything DeMarco does for the rest of his life if he could make it happen. -

What the... am I seeing things? Have they finally rated a DBZ Kai episode without the L? Next week's episode is like that, too. How potentially amazing. I still have to watch Outlaw Star and Bebop before getting to tonight's broadcast, but I hope all of it is enjoyable. -
Surprise! I mean, yeah, I was supposed to post this thing a lot earlier, but after being forced to do a clean install of Windows and not having access to Paint.NET for a while (no major offense to the GIMP fanboys, but I couldn't use the software for the life of me... grumble grumble), here is the glimpse into alternate history our fathers never promised. Birdy the Mighty: Original Series Review I'd say that's enough. Next week, new show. I'll leave the starting time for that as another surprise.

I have FLCL 2 predicted for a February start, though that might be a little too early. However, I do think that, going off of the previous comment about JoJo's Part 3 being split cour, it could replace that show when it ends, probably in February. And then JoJo's could pick right back up again with the new arc when it's done, though I don't have that exact move on either chart. -

Right now, stability is the key. 11:00P has a chance to do better if they just let it grow an audience organically. And as for FLCL 2... you know, JoJo's Part 3 was spread out into two seasons of 24 episodes each. I have to wonder if the Toonami run will take a break then. They could fit that in the open slot, or they could play a different show of around twelve episodes. -

Well, after that pop-up adventure, the ratings are out. As expected, a brutal showing. It took until #36 for anything not related to Irma or college football to show up. DBZ Kai was at #47. However, if you look at the raw numbers compared to two weeks ago, most of it was stable. Lupin even rated over 500K and had its best individual performance since July. Now, I can't stop you from being mad at anything, but hopefully you all take my preferred path. [8OOth post] -

My parents have been watching coverage of the hurricane like a fly attracted to shit. We can only hope that this morbid fascination (and not time instead spent calling their representatives) leads to [adult swim] writing off the night due to unforseen circumstances. -

Nevermind those Hunters... they could've marathoned Stardust Crusaders by now. It's got more than five episodes at the ready. -
Mr. Osomatsu #7 and #8 Tsuredere Children #6 to #8 WorldEnd #6 and #7 And I also started a Bakuon!! rewatch (capitalization not required, apparently), this time on Blu-ray. And I guess the Sentai Filmworks script is at least a notably different translation, having replaced the lower-tier swearing with just one instance where Rin called Onsa a "frizzy poofy-haired bitch". The TV-14 I originally gave the first episode still stands, though.

So a naked MA whenever there's graphic animal violence? That sounds reasonable. I do know that the Boondocks episode "Stinkmeaner 3: The Hateocracy" features a squirrel being graphically run over by a car and is MAV, but I've never seen the entire episode, so I can't judge it. -
There are definitely a lot of sequels coming out this season... Love Live! Sunshine!! S2 is another one. I'll definitely watch that one week-to-week. And one more show I'm actually interested in is Girl's Last Tour. If nothing else, it promises to be hauntingly beautiful. I feel like everyone is forced to buy into an apocalypse somehow.

I agree. There was someone I ended up unfollowing on Twitter because they would constantly put up the same tweet about how much the show sucks it isn't funny. Also, he seemed to represent the more unhinged parts of the liberal #Resistance, but that's neither here nor there. -_' This Toonami block was watched coherently, which I don't do much nowadays, though I did spent a bit of HxH paranoid because I couldn't find an important thumb drive in my house. Both Dragon Balls were fun for different reasons. The penguin-ish universal anthem announcer joke was great. Who knew what they were going for was how short it was and not his appearance? While I did intentionally skip Tokyo Ghoul, and I went to bed before Outlaw Star began, though I recorded both that and Bebop. So JoJo's ended up being the high point of the night for me. Now, what's with the TV-MA straight? They probably could've gone with a V due to the rotting shark carcass and the general bloodshed caused by Dark Blue Moon, but there weren't any adult themes to bring it this high, as I often expect from this channel's S&P. -

This is what happens when I have to go to bed early for a college class... lots × mincing × words...es. LOL. But it's gonna be like this for the next few months. ::]:: -
I have HuniePop in my Steam inventory, but I've never played it. I didn't even know HunieCam Studio existed before this bundle came about, nor any of the Sakura games. So yeah... there will be a time and a place for these, but not right now. :fap:

You know, we're probably thinking about this too hard. People are evacuating, but they're probably going to be in a nice place and able to watch Toonami on their TV. But I'd much rather sympathize with the people of Miami-Dade County, because this hurricane is gonna rip through there like a buzzsaw. Their safety is more valuable than stupid TV time. -
