  1. I'm also at zero. Anybody else here from southern NH? I guess I wouldn't mind meeting one of you at some point.
  2. Touhou Suzunaan ~ Forbidden Scrollery 5/Omake Atsumare! Fushigi Kenkyu-bu 126/129
  3. Ah, okay. Funnily enough, tonight I was looking through old ASMB posts that got saved via the Internet Archive, and I saw that I posted an indirect death threat toward Obama that got deleted, but was preserved via a quote from Masquerade. Now that, I don't miss about being younger. Heck, my unchivalrous attitude toward politics leaked into the first few years of these boards. At least I'm mellow now, though it's come with the caveat that I'm not as freewheeling and irreverent with my posts.
  4. Funnily enough, I thought so too, but another forum I joined about a year ago and have been posting on (Phish.Net) is even more primitive; not only do they not have folders (there are tags that ostensibly serve that purpose, but they're limited), nobody even has signatures!
  5. This might affect the perception of Samurai Jack as a kids' show, not sure yet.
  6. I never got any infractions the first time around, but I did get perma'd twice on the NodeBB boards. I don't remember the specifics, but I think both of those bans involved politics. Where does the part where you claimed Code Geass's (assuming that's what it was) 5:00 a.m. deathslotting was worse than 9/11 come in? Was that on a different board, maybe Toonzone?
  7. Yeah, it died on November 2, per one of my old tweets. I remember seeing this right after the Cubs clinched the World Series. Oh, to be 18 again...
  8. I didn't join until 2014, but I'm glad I got my foot in the door to this crazy community. I think the only thing I really miss was having actual ratings talk, and not only that but talk about ratings for other [as] shows as well. HackSignJohn [name unconfirmed] was a big ball of weird, but very knowledgeable about how [as] ticked, such as pointing out that if they aired a certain ads for things life insurance, it meant that slot wasn't rating well. Oh, and having more of a captive audience for my first content ratings posts, which spilled over to the NodeBB forums. Trust me, I haven't forgotten about that. [*cooks*]
  9. It's now been more than a year since I started this project... and more than a month since I first wrote this post, which itself came a month after I saw the episode. Sorry for the delays, but now it's finally ready: the final piece of the puzzle. Touhou Fantasy Kaleidoscope: The Memories of Phantasm Episode 1: "The Spring Snow Incident" a.k.a. "The Ordinary Magician or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Kotarsu [sic]"
  10. I wouldn't say that's guaranteed. The last year July 4 was on a Tuesday (2017), they did a marathon, but last year didn't have one even though it was on a Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if they're itching to promote UWE again, though... unless it's another Royal Crackers marathon. On OP's point, I thought there was one Toonami show that aired one premiere episode then got preempted, but I'm not seeing it. Though there have been shows that got preempted after two weeks, as well as ones that had their timeslots switched after one (in Shenmue's case) or two (Hellsing, baby) episodes. Really, at this point I just wanna know what's happening with the new FLCL sequels, since I thought we heard that they were being dubbed back in February. Are they waiting until both of them are done so they can air them both back-to-back or something?
  11. True, but Toonami not airing the Made in Abyss movie didn't seem to dent the ratings for S2 very much. Granted, I watched both, and I feel like the latter would've been fairly easy to follow otherwise. "Dovetails from canon" my ass.
  12. Sorta seems to be. Although... Regardless of what's going on, thank goodness for an actual acquisition.
  13. Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal S1E2 Smiling Friends S1E1 [i wanna play davebius] EDIT: Oh, wait a minute, I just noticed the separate thread we have for cartoons. I'll make sure to post there next time.
  14. Holy shit, Sweet Punishment on Toonami! I heard that one of the episodes of that show has a lot of topless women. Seems likely that this is an outcropping of it being a web OVA, which might complicate the rights further. I wonder if S&P would balk at that? It might fly for a normal 12-episode show, but this is only half the length so it might feel like more effort to them. Or maybe I'm just running my mouth off.
  15. The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls U149 73/74 Atsumare! Fushigi Kenkyu-bu 110-125 and 127/128 (yes, I skipped one, which was by accident) Touhou Suzunaan ~ Forbidden Scrollery 4 Witch Hat Atelier 12 [regular service will resume tomorrow]
  16. I could see that, but only if they have a really big show coming as the one they're "waiting for permission from Japan" to announce. Maybe Bleach?
  17. It's not about a particular day more than that I haven't had much time to watch anime yet. I did have a rough day at work last Wednesday, even if some of it was self-inflicted, but things have been going well overall. 🙂
  18. To Your Eternity S2E5 Man, I've got nothing.
  19. Sakura Trick 3-5 No idea what the reason is, but the Crunchyroll simulcast for U149 is delayed. The first episode was beaten to the punch by a fansub, and that never happens nowadays! Yet this might be a good thing, since I haven't been in the right headspace to watch the episode and then twiddle my fingers while I opt not to make the necessary ratings clips for it. BTW, as I mentioned in my edit in the ratings thread, I neglected to mention that I gave Bakuon!! the rarest of all PG-caliber ratings a long time ago. So here are the (SD) screenshots I made for it again, because I have much love and respect for you. [crazy little thing...]
  20. All right! I've been hoping for them to do this ever since they opened the investigation into Ticketmaster/LiveNation. Who knows if this is going to go anywhere, but I at least hope this leads to a hearing where Liz Warren grills Zaslav. That seems like something most of us would enjoy. It's more the fact that the title has another forced reference to writing off shows. But hey, it's better than bringing up The Owl House again.
  21. Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal S1E1 (rewatch) From my Blu-ray, which presumably counts. God, this show looks even better here than it does on [as]. The colors are brighter, the lines sharper (some of them exhibit an aliasing effect, though this might be native to the show), and the actual content is as gripping as ever. Kinda wish the surround mix was more exaggerated, but if you turn it up loud it probably sounds theatrical enough as is.
  22. I haven't watched the premiere yet, though I haven't decided if I want to. From the looks of it, [as] is pushing this show really hard, w/ a three-episode premiere, encores on Monday and Saturday, and they've already given it a second season as I mentioned elsewhere. The only thing I don't know is if they're airing promos for it non-stop on the network itself. I'm pretty sure I heard it mentioned on at least one NCAA tournament game, though disappointingly it was never aired as a sneak preview after one of the Turner networks' slate of games. All this is enough to make me wonder if they seriously think this show can be their next Rick and Morty; if so, then they should probably come out and say it, because there's no shame in it. Even if R&M is still on the air.
  23. Okay, you got a laugh out of me this time. Not many running gags have this trajectory.
