I made my fair share of threads in the Toonami folder, mostly for show discussions, plus a few others in the OA/Comedy folders that probably mostly focused on nerdy stuff.

Sounds good to me. Hopefully a decent amount of anime is included to make up for Toonami getting jack shit nowadays. [could it be time for cosmo samurai: the series?]

Hot damn, this is great. It was never formally cancelled, but after a certain point my hopes for new season of this were tempered. Guess Genndy just needed a break to work on UWE.

Also watched the first Yuugi/Parsee sketch from this batch, among other choice bits.

To Your Eternity S2E6-9 Re:Stage! Dream Days 4-7 (7 new) Only took me four days this month to watch more episodes of anime than I did the previous two combined. Not bad. And now I need just one more episode to top off my next omnibus. I know I'll probably incur the wrath of God by saying this, but my next content ratings post should be ready no later than Tuesday.

Smiling Friends S1E2-8 and the Brazil special (S1E2-7 new) Excellent stuff; my favorite episode was "Frowning Friends". Looking forward to Season 2, which I imagine will drop immediately after the new one for Teenage Euthanasia.

I was firmly in the Toonami camp, with some Other Anime action on the side. I think it took until this forum for me to start posting in the latter more often. I also liked the comedy folders, but by the point I joined (or at least started actively posting) they weren't as busy as I'd have liked.

I'm also at zero. Anybody else here from southern NH? I guess I wouldn't mind meeting one of you at some point.

Ah, okay. Funnily enough, tonight I was looking through old ASMB posts that got saved via the Internet Archive, and I saw that I posted an indirect death threat toward Obama that got deleted, but was preserved via a quote from Masquerade. Now that, I don't miss about being younger. Heck, my unchivalrous attitude toward politics leaked into the first few years of these boards. At least I'm mellow now, though it's come with the caveat that I'm not as freewheeling and irreverent with my posts.

Funnily enough, I thought so too, but another forum I joined about a year ago and have been posting on (Phish.Net) is even more primitive; not only do they not have folders (there are tags that ostensibly serve that purpose, but they're limited), nobody even has signatures!

This might affect the perception of Samurai Jack as a kids' show, not sure yet.

I never got any infractions the first time around, but I did get perma'd twice on the NodeBB boards. I don't remember the specifics, but I think both of those bans involved politics. Where does the part where you claimed Code Geass's (assuming that's what it was) 5:00 a.m. deathslotting was worse than 9/11 come in? Was that on a different board, maybe Toonzone?

Yeah, it died on November 2, per one of my old tweets. I remember seeing this right after the Cubs clinched the World Series. Oh, to be 18 again...

I didn't join until 2014, but I'm glad I got my foot in the door to this crazy community. I think the only thing I really miss was having actual ratings talk, and not only that but talk about ratings for other [as] shows as well. HackSignJohn [name unconfirmed] was a big ball of weird, but very knowledgeable about how [as] ticked, such as pointing out that if they aired a certain ads for things life insurance, it meant that slot wasn't rating well. Oh, and having more of a captive audience for my first content ratings posts, which spilled over to the NodeBB forums. Trust me, I haven't forgotten about that. [*cooks*]

I wouldn't say that's guaranteed. The last year July 4 was on a Tuesday (2017), they did a marathon, but last year didn't have one even though it was on a Monday. I wouldn't be surprised if they're itching to promote UWE again, though... unless it's another Royal Crackers marathon. On OP's point, I thought there was one Toonami show that aired one premiere episode then got preempted, but I'm not seeing it. Though there have been shows that got preempted after two weeks, as well as ones that had their timeslots switched after one (in Shenmue's case) or two (Hellsing, baby) episodes. Really, at this point I just wanna know what's happening with the new FLCL sequels, since I thought we heard that they were being dubbed back in February. Are they waiting until both of them are done so they can air them both back-to-back or something?

In pressing Zaslav-ological news, the WBD CEO is going to be giving a commencement speech at Boston University this weekend, not too far from where I live. How disgusting. The WGA has planned a picket for it, and the local chapter of the DSA plans on joining in. Funnily enough, it wasn't until glossing over the article just now that I found out he went to school there.
