As I pretty much stated in the IB thread, it was good before it started being bogged down by a bunch of filler and meandering plot lines. I mean you can only use Naraku as a villain for so long before he starts looking like a cartoonish (offbeat American) archetype. At least Sesshomaru was more believable as the brooding antihero/semi-archvillain.
