  1. The only time I went to a con, I didn't like it. It probably didn't help that I went alone. Trying to be friendly with people was fucking hard. Also, deodorant. People didn't use it...
  2. I don't apologize, but I feel bad. Unless we're talking about mosquitoes, in which case fuck those guys.
  3. I can cry. I just choose not to. I've been able to do it since I was a teenager.
  4. I've never had a sundae, so....vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and two peanut butter cups (preferably Reese's).
  5. She's calling for funeral arrangements, but my phone number is so similar to that of her local funeral home that she thinks I'm fucking with her after 4 or 5 calls. This shit makes me sadder than it should.
  6. Seems pretty obvious that they need the help, at least.
  7. A year ago I went to Chicago to visit family and somehow got lost after using their bus system. Best of luck to him.
  8. This kind of shit is why I just stick with beer.
  9. I have yet to see Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Both films were spoiled for me, so I'm not in any rush to see them.
  10. West Virginia is extremely conservative, so yeah. But he was trying to go above retail.
  11. I legit know a guy who had trouble finding another job because he had been working at such a store for four years. Leaving it off would have left an enormous gap in his resume.
  12. It's impossible to have a true family reunion because certain family members can't fucking stay out of jail or prison for more than a month.
  13. It's the first UA game in ten years and was developed by a different company (Team Ninja). It's also a Nintendo Switch exclusive. I guess they're testing the waters since UA2 had underwhelming sales numbers.
  14. Once I get past world 3, it's a breeze. I hate that water world shit.
  15. They're the only place in my area that sells the titles I'm looking for aside from Wal-Mart. On this topic, I think it blows that the company has devolved. I worked for Gamestop at the age of 19. It was an okay place to work, but I only stayed for six months since I was in college at the time and needed to focus on my studies. That was 9 years ago, though. A lot of things within the corporate side have likely changed, and it may also depend on each store how certain things are handled.
  16. I thought the "holding onto your resume" tip thing was just a myth, but I guess they did hold on to yours for that long until they needed you.
  17. Holy shit, you did a Dark Souls III speedrun? I need to see this!
  18. Reminds me of when my local theater had "John Wick," "Godzilla," and "X-Men" on the same Marquee last month. It's like the person in charge of putting each movie up there was stuck in 2014.
  19. I wasn't aware that this was a thing until now. I guess people just want to see giant monsters plow each other.
  20. FInd something that makes you happy, even if it's for a moment. Or just eat some comfort food. That works for me too.

    Feet people

What if we love all three?
  22. Back when I was a paramedic, you wouldn't believe the stupid shit that people would do with fireworks. Back when roman candles were illegal here, someone missed the sky and ended up sending one flying through another person's house, injuring someone inside. Another person thought it would be funny to have firecrackers lined up on their body while someone else lit them. The guy had second and third degree burns all over his chest. I can't say I have PTSD, but it makes me squeamish when someone lights any type of firework that is not a glow worm or a smoke bomb.

    Laid off.

So yeah, I spoke with a gentleman at the office. Was given several resources to look for another job, as it's an obvious requirement to apply while being eligible for unemployment. I may have found a few positions I'm interested in, so this thread was worthwhile. Thank you everyone.

    Laid off.

Yeah, I'm just wondering what the exact terms are. I was employed with the company for 11 months, but I was jumping from one job to another. I was never unemployed before I took that position. I guess I'm just gonna' need to talk to the people at the office to get exact details. I just like knowing those things before I get into anything, and while the information provided on the website is good, it doesn't answer all of my questions. But odds are the people there probably will be just as vague or will parrot what the website states.
