Whose is it then? Putin has his land bridge to Crimea and the access to the Black Sea deep water ports. That is what he wanted from the outset. If DC tells Ukraine "sit down and negotiate or we cut off aid" then you will see peace talks real quick. DC has almost all the leverage here regarding Ukraine; Zelenski is on TV practically every day begging for weapons and aid. If he loses that he will quickly lose his ability to fight effectively. Putin wants this to end, he has what he set out to get. Western Europe might want it to end to get energy back, though that seems to no longer be an option. Ukraine may or may not want it to end, I imagine they want to get back all the territory Russia annexed, including Donbas and Crimea. DC doesn't seem to know what it wants, but I doubt it is good for any party involved.
