Naturally enough, when this happens and you're the "bigot" in the center, the guy on the right doesn't seem so bad. To put it another way, the Left invariably turns on itself.

So, in the midst of former Vice-President Biden trying to redefine recession, turns out he had time to order the USPS to create a new "election security division" to handle mail-in ballots. Just in time for Monkey Ba.7 Pox election fortifications....

I can see season 2 coming, Toonami typically gets multi-season shows if they can. (Demon Slayer is an exception sadly, which is probably more harmful to the IP than anything else) I don't think we will get the movie, those seem to be more of a "Air this DC animated movie or we nuke the Absolution" kinda thing. Honestly, if they spend the money for a movie on TYBW or CSM I'd be much happier with that choice.

sports NFL 2022/23 DUCK, DUCK, MONKEY POX NOW WITH 1% LESS COVID

I have NFL network as part of my Dish so I won't pay for a streaming service. -
So, Tesla is going to charge $99/yr after year 8 for navigation. Most auto manufacturers charge between $250-$500 for navigation updates/yr so I'm not exactly sure why $99 is such an outrage. Besides, by year 8 you are probably going to be $15k into the car for a new battery.

I was thinking more along the lines of the punter's jock strap. Edit: Signed by Goodell, because he sucks and it is appropriate that he waste at least an hour signing unwashed jock straps. -

So, calling the riot on 1/6 an insurrection is both factually and legally incorrect. If there is evidence that individuals conspired to use force to prevent the peaceful execution of Federal law, charge them and give them their day in court. To constantly call it an insurrection however is to propagandize the event and spread misinformation. It was not an insurrection, it did not meet the stated definition of an insurrection. It clearly lacks the requisite "significant violence" of an insurrection charge. So, who is lying? Either both Agents are willing to lie under oath, and judging from the National Review article apparently Agent Engel already has testified, or Ms. Hutchinson has lied under oath. It is telling that if Agent Engel has testified his testimony hasn't been released. I'm certain that if he had corroborated Ms. Hutchinson it would be on every media outlet. So, given this, it is reasonable to presume that Ms. Hutchinson has either lied or "misremembered events" which she testified about.

DeMarco bringing back The Pillows for FLCL Grunge and FLCL Shoegaze
Ginguy replied to Jman's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
Don't even put that out in the universe. Bad Ben Bad -
It isn't colloquial semantics. It is the distinction between calling something an "insurrection" when it is not, versus a conspiracy to use force to prevent the execution of Federal law. If they conspired to perpetrate an insurrection, why were they not charged with that crime? It is precisely what she testified to, and here she is testifying to it. This is a lie on its face. The two Secret Service agents are both willing to testify that this never happened. Even listening to the story any sane person would have serious doubts as to the validity of the story, hence the very real likelihood that Rep. Cheney subordinated perjury.

Macross 7, Macross Frontier, and Macross Delta are all getting US releases
Ginguy replied to Jman's topic in Anime & Manga
Saw this the other day. Have to agree with Poke, it would be a good pick up for Toonami, 7 and frontier were very good series. I'm just glad they are getting a release so I can pick them up. -

There's a reason why it is called "catching lightning in a bottle".... -
So, the two Secret Service agents directly involved have indicated they would testify under oath that Hutchinson was lying about President Trump attempting to grab the wheel. http://archive.today/JNG9T Cheney should be disbarred for subordinating perjury at this point.

So, apparently over 1 million+ voters have walked away from the Dems in this primary season. In other news, Dems hold a +7 in the generic ballot according to Marxist polling. https://maristpoll.marist.edu/polls/npr-pbs-newshour-marist-national-poll-the-overturning-of-roe-v-wade-june-2022/ Democrats (48%) currently have the advantage over the Republicans (41%) among registered voters in the congressional generic ballot question. Their advantage has slightly widened from five points (47% for the Democratic candidate and 42% for the Republican candidate) in May after the leaked draft of the Roe v. Wade decision. A million+ people walking away and somehow the Dems are still listed by Marxist as being +7....

The former Senate Sergeant at Arms has suddenly passed away. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/3539605-former-senate-sergeant-at-arms-who-served-during-capitol-insurrection-dies/ "Former Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger, who served during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, died on Monday, Politico reported. No cause of death has been reported. Stenger served as sergeant-at-arms, responsible for ensuring security around the Capitol and enforcing the Senate’s rules, for three years. He resigned on Jan. 7, 2021, after receiving intense criticism for the inability of the Capitol’s security to keep the rioters outside the building. The Senate sergeant-at-arms serves on the Capitol Police Board, which governs the U.S. Capitol Police, along with the House sergeant-at-arms and the architect of the Capitol. Stenger received criticism from both Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving and Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund also resigned following the insurrection. Politico reported that Stenger served in the Marine Corps and worked in the Secret Service for 35 years before joining the Senate’s Office of the Sergeant at Arms in 2011. Stenger testified to members of the Senate in the month following the insurrection that a review of the Capitol Police was needed in the aftermath of the attack. Sund said in testimony at the same hearing that Stenger and Irvin rejected his requests for assistance from the National Guard two days before the insurrection. "

new toonami schedule was just revealed
Ginguy replied to CountFrylock's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
My concern with an approach like that would be drawing a casual viewer to the flagship Saturday broadcast and having them see older shows and repeats. This might sour the potential for growth. It isn't easy to really grow if your title show is filled with programs that just aren't what your core audience is interested in. Certainly it doesn't help that licensing companies are having a competition to see who can hoard each other into their exclusive streaming platforms, but I think that DeMarco might be on to something by forging direct ties to the Japanese producers. Certainly a big premier show outside of Saturday can reach a wider audience, but you lose that draw factor to the Saturday broadcast by airing on more viewed nights. Double-edged sword I suppose. -

The Discovery people are purging cost ineffective projects and generally tightening ship. I think can survive, but it had better find an audience quickly that provides not only view ratings but online and social engagement as well. In short, a multi-platform engaged audience in the key demo is what the execs are probably looking for before deciding on anything. The best case scenario is that they believe Toonami has this audience, or the potential to create it, and is worth an investment. Worst case, they pull the plug, though I doubt that since there is an audience for anime. Realistic, Toonami transitions to an online platform. I am optimistic about Toonami now, since the higher higher-ups are interested in quality programming for broadcast, and Toonami has demonstrated a staying power. I wouldn't be surprised to see it transition from purely anime to action animation, but if that means getting reboots of Thundar, Thundercats season 2, perhaps a reboot of the old Dungeons and Dragons show, possibly Hasbro IPs etc., then I'm for it. -
I guess I'll go through each one. First, regarding the "failed insurrection". The Government is probably not charging them with trying to overthrow the government, but rather with conspiring to use force to prevent the execution of Federal law. This can be surmised since the individuals have not been charged with the crime of insurrection. Further, that NY Times piece accidentally speaks the quiet part out loud; "The group and its actions around the Capitol will be central to the narrative being pieced together by the House committee investigating the attack and Mr. Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results, two people familiar with the committee’s plans said on Monday." From this, it is easy to determine that the committee is not investigating facts, but rather attempting to find facts to fit a predetermined outcome. This is important as to the second and third points. Second, as far as Rep. Jordan being a material witness, there is no factual basis for that assertion yet available. The closest thing is a statement from Rep. Jordan, “I spoke with him that day, after? I think after. I don’t know if I spoke with him in the morning or not. I just don’t know…I don’t know when those conversations happened.”. So, until such evidence can be found that would prove Rep. Jordan spoke earlier or that he spoke prior to Jan. 6th with the intent to somehow plan, and no such evidence has been presented, he is no more a material witness that any other person who might have spoken with the President during the days between Nov. 3rd and Jan. 6th. As to Rep. Banks, he did not announce his intent to "muddy the waters". He rather did the exact opposite, and clearly stated his intent to investigate "... why was the Capitol unprepared and vulnerable to attack on January 6? If Democrats were serious about investigating political violence, this committee would be studying not only the January 6 riot at the Capitol, but also the hundreds of violent political riots last summer when many more innocent Americans and law-enforcement officers were attacked. And of course, the committee would not overlook the Good Friday murder of USCP Officer Billy Evans that was perpetrated by a far-left extremist." This isn't muddying the waters, this is announcing valid lines of investigation into the climate of political violence which led up to the mostly peaceful protest at the Capitol on Jan. 6th. (That's for "Gym Jordan". 😝) I'll agree that Rep. Jordan is probably wrong about an effort to subpoena him being unconstitutional.
