If so, that was awesome when I was little….like 5 and 6

I just looked at the thread and responded, @naraku360

I wasn’t paying any attention to, nor did I care when it was posted.

Okay, but you responded with a question you could've gotten the answer to with a search that would've taken less time to type than the message itself.

And in a thread about the guy's death.

Stop! I'll have you know that I ate 4 boxes of Applejacks and spent an afternoon weeding the garden in order to become a charter member of the Banana Splits Club.

1969, baby. Summer of love. My mom wouldn't let me go to Woodstock,  so I joined the Banana Splits instead.

(It was a promotion thing with Kellogg's - 4 box tops from Apple Jacks and a quarter for a complete membership kit.)

Many whacks to the head and face with kabangers(also known as clackers). lol lead paint, shiiiiiiit we still had leaded gasoline when I was a youngling. The red dye was already banned though as there were no red M&Ms until I was almost in my 20s.

well...i know that up until 1977 they were still doing some sort of cereal/food promotional contest. i left d.c. then to move to the wilds of vermont.

up there you had 1 station, and maybe on a good day, 2

Ovaltine.

That is all.

I lived in the before time. We didn't have fancy world building shows. We had Hee Haw and Mutual of Omaha's nature show. We had one television and it had one station. When I first discovered a second station ..pbs, I got to watch Marty Stopher. Oh what a glorious day that was.

It was 'Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins'. You have to say the whole thing or it doesn't count!

Also, the tv weighed like 600 pounds and had a pull knob to turn on. You had to wait for the tubes to warm up and the screen started with a tiny dot in the center that slowly got bigger.

I knew the Mutual of Omaha's thing. I'm kind of sure the Pbs show was Marty Stopher's wild America.  Every nature show had to have wild in the title or it didn't count.
