Its so dumb that some sites still use the "lets make sure you're not a robot, pick all the images with cars" shit as a form of security....do we really believe bots can't identify a car.

The distorted letters seems more secure since AI still fails at words even when you spell them for it (yes, i realize it often fucks up brands on purpose)

I messed around with the Chinese course on Duolingo, and I like how they teach hot water and soup early. 湯 means soup in Chinese but hot water in Japanese. This is one of many instances where Japanese retains older etymology of a character compared to modern Chinese.

I realized I don't know how CPR works. When we breathe into someone's lungs, we are not breathing air, we are breathing carbon dioxide. Humans cannot breathe carbon dioxide, that is the reason we breathe it out. So how does breathing in carbon dioxide help a person who is not breathing, start breathing again?

First of all, you don’t need to breathe oxygen in; you’re inflating the lungs so they will reflexively expel what’s in them, such as water. Secondly, what’s generally more important is chest compressions in CPR situations.  At one point, there was even the suggestion that mouth to mouth wasn’t needed at all, but it does still serve a purpose as long as chest compressions are maintained.

I decided to go walking in the park. Very few other people there because of the heat wave, even though it was still not as bad as an average summer in most of Asia. Whatever. I took I new hiking route that led to a fork in the road. George Washington was there when he was just a colonel.

It's gotta be my favorite actor name ever. It's almost Joe Montana but not quite. As a life long 49er fan, that tickles my funny bone.

I just saw a FB reel of someone cooking macaroni noodles in blue Gatorade and I feel murderous right now.

I managed to somehow feel very full with only 1500 calories. Raita made with nonfat Greek yogurt and peanuts is my secret. It's cheap to make and very healthy.

The past week I've been obsessed with the astroworld documentaries on Netflix and now I found another one on Amazon. My fyp on TikTok has been flooded with videos. I'm so angry at live Nation. I'm mad that they still continue to be able to put on shows. I'm mad that the 3 shows im going to are by live nation. ARGHHHH.

 

Though I will be in a hopefully controlled environment and I have physical seats, my OCD still continues to put fear into myself. I've been in mosh pits and front stage in multiple venues. Idk why I so panicky.
