Lmao, so I failed last night and actually fell asleep before the Block even started. Woke up this morning and checked the interwebs and saw that they had another round of 'Fan Art' last night during one of the bumps.

Apparently they let some copy right material get submitted as fan art and now have to cancel it. That sucks. 

But did anyone see this master piece? Haha who ever this Paul Mantell is, you are a visionary! 

This one totally beats the caked up Luffy we got a few weeks ago haha

Demarco does not sound happy but hey, they are understaffed and did it to themselves. Like how many fan arts made it onto the bump? Several? I do not see how that can not be vetted in a few minutes. But hey, I honestly do not know how they do things so maybe I am missing something.

apparently the fat nami picture was a subscription picture so....not only was someone's art stolen but it was art you had to pay for to see

Some people think it was purposeful sabotage, but I think someone was just trying to be funny and did not realize there were legal things that Toonami might get in trouble for. The fat Nami certainly made me laugh though, its a shame they are killing the submissions now instead of the doing it the correct way.

Some people think it was purposeful sabotage, but I think someone was just trying to be funny and did not realize there were legal things that Toonami might get in trouble for. The fat Nami certainly made me laugh though, its a shame they are kill the submissions now instead of the doing it the correct way.

Jason Demarco has little to do with toonami these days aside from being in a advisor role....he describes toonami as being more of A Gill Austin Project than A Demarco Project now

so i assume he'd probably say he had nothing to do with that one

regardless now fans have nothing to get them personally invested in the block.....toonami just brought it back and because of one thief

they have decided the fans don't deserve to be able to contribute anything to the block ever again

I sympathize, but when you consider that the Toonami staff has other roles in addition to running the block, which is something they do on the side anyway, it's not that unreasonable that they could half-ass it like this.

because..."Whose really gonna defend the person making Fat-Artwork?" look at most comments online and how a lot of them seemed grossed out or disturbed

very few even came up to the plate to support the artist when it was revealed that it had been stolen

He has always been like this. When something goes wrong, it’s anyone’s fault but his own. Admittedly, this one probably isn’t on him personally, as I assume some cheeky intern was in charge of this project, but still, he is shifting the blame to the fans rather than just taking responsibility for a mistake on their end.

After last night, I saw a lot of discussion of people planning to dig up niche, fetish fanart and submit it in hopes of getting more extreme content on the air. If you dig deep enough, you can find plenty of content that’s not going to pop up in your standard quick search. Even if they did keep it going, they would probably cancel regardless after being flooded a bunch of fart and anal vore submissions.

To the majority of people, anal vore refers to a meme template of your character of choice dabbing while the character you don’t like is implied to be sucked into their anus. I didn’t mean for you to actually jump down the rabbit hole. Or I guess in this case, butthole.
