Monopoly, anyone?

Seriously....I've been jonesing for a game...but pogo is gone and all other versions cost money....I will not pay to play inferior computer monopoly....do I have to actually....invite people over

Dexter wants to play. He has no clue how to, but he is intrigued, going so far as to get the board out yesterday (although not going so far as to actually read the rules). If you're really desperate, I can volunteer him.

I used to love that game throughout my whole childhood. The last time I played, I was probably in my 20s, I was completely bored out of my mind the whole time. Haven't played since.

Growing up we got a 2nd hand copy of monopoly with no hotels, houses, and like half the money.

Freaked me out when i played the actual game with people and they started buying properties right away, its like, wtf, buying properties is what you do when you win, you can't just start winning right off the bat.

Why would you keep playing if you've already won?

I suppose "won" wasn't the right word.

You don't buy properties until the end game.

The majority of the game is spent going around the board sacng money and hoping you don't go to jail or anything. 

Once somebody gets enough money saved up they buy a property or two.
