This came up a few years back and damn near everything has that shit in it....not just Skittles.

I think mustard, ketchup all forms of snack cakes, salad dressing, mouthwash (which you're not supposed to swallow, but I'm not clear if actual eating, or just having it in your mouth is toxic) frozen veggies, yogurt....and that just the shit I remember....I'll Google in a sec but my point is, the shit can't be THAT awful, I think Skittles pissed someone off....or Mars, I guess.

 The FDA has considered it safe in parts per million I guess, but like everything with the fda that's in parts per million and includes way more unsavory elements and substances..
