They were saying i was such a great person and always so kind to everyone and i brought joy with me and all that.

So then they say "would you mind if we prayed for you?" And im like "yeah sure, if you'd like."

So i figured they'd like, go home and when they did their before-bed prayer or whatever they'd throw in a quick shoutout and thatd be it.

But nah.

They stood right there in line and thanked god for the light and joy i carry inside me and asked the lord to reward me.

This legitimately happened like four hours ago.

Yesterday a lady said I was so bright and cheerful and she asked me if the light of the lord was the reason.

She started asking me if I believed in god and after a little bit of prodding I told her about my Time worship.

What was her reaction to that?

Fucking hate when people walk up with that shit.

That's happened to me a couple times too. It's so awkward, but I just go with it. If that'll make them feel like they did something meaningful today, then I'm happy to stand there with my eyes closed for two minutes.

Oh i wasn't praying with them.

I was sort of doing the "stand there grinning" like you do when they sing happy birthday.

I don't pray with them either, really. I just don't want them to peek and see that I'm just standing there like a goon. If I'm praying for anything in that moment, it's that they'll at least keep it brief.

I am so confused by your life....You were even sheltered to this?

But yeah, when I was a kid i had to do it but nowadays....Now I can tell people anything and get to feel bad abput it later....alone.....not in public praying like some psalms pushing dipshit.

I've had situations like those before.  Had a guy show up and hand me a folded up sheet of paper with prayers he had written on it for himself for me to use and said it would help me find god.

Makes me wish I knew absolutely anything about other religious rituals so I could accost them with things they do not practice with the attitude that they are too confused and stupid to realize my beliefs are more important than theirs and they should be forced to change theirs to match mine.

Not that I'd ever have the balls to do something like that.  I don't just say I hate talking to people because it's edgy.

I'd actually be annoyed less by somebody who isn't a hardcore mainstream christian asking their deity to bless me with happiness.  At least then it doesn't come with the implication that they are doing it on my behalf because I'm too stupid to do it myself.

If I was a dick I could point out that praying for a specific outcome is meaningless if you believe god is omnipotent and omniscient and that some religious scholars would argue that this is actually what is meant by the commandment against taking god's name in vain.

but i'm not a dick.

so i'm not going to say that. 😐

so... how about them ball games?

go team...

well. this is awkward. 😶
