I think you've mentioned what area you're from, but I won't ask...Just wondering if you're from one of the notoriously hot places.....I mean, I'm sure it uncomfortable even if your weather isn't particularly hot due to the lack of internet and if your hot water heater is electric....UUUUUUGGGGGH, But just hoping you're not in like Arizona or here or some shit.

I just got mine back like 3:30pm yesterday.

Lucky!

I’m so annoyed. The neighbors directly across from me never lost power - apparently they’re on a different grid. Sitting over there with all of the lights in their house on... 😤

Yeah, I assumed I'd be one of the last group to get it back because of where I live.

Still 20% of the city without and no idea when they might get it. My coworker got told his house would have it back Friday at the earliest but don't worry, they're going to put some charging stations for cellphones up in his neighborhood.

Oh, I don’t mind sharing! I’m in Iowa. Our weather is weird - one day could be 80 degrees and then the next it decides to snow. It can’t ever make up its mind, lol

It could be worse, though. My sister and her husband had a giant tree fall onto their house. Their bedroom is gone, and there are holes through the bathroom and living room. Luckily they weren’t home, so they’re physically ok. But they just got a new roof last summer, so that sucks... 😔

Friday?! Oh man... But yeah, those charging stations will make up for it 🙃

I tried calling MidAmerican and it was impossible to get through. So I have no estimate of when I’ll be back up

I believe it! It was a nasty storm 😔

It was weird because one minute it was bright and sunny, and then the next it looked like it was the middle of the night. Then the sirens went off due to the high wind speeds, then the downpour. It was nuts!

A giant storm hit us early Monday morning and I’ve been without power at my house since.

Never thought I’d enjoy coming to work, but at least we have internet and air conditioning here...

That sucks!  I couldn't imagine not having air conditioning for 3 days in August, I'd be super cranky

Here's a good luck doggo

I am pretty lucky because I'm the opposite situation. Got our power back yesterday but people across the street are estimated to get theirs back on Friday.

We lost power for a few hours, but we only caught the tail end of the storm line.

Hope your service gets back soon. In the meantime don't eat anything from your fridge. You might be able to get your insurance to pay for groceries though, and sometime (rarely) the utility itself will give you a credit on your account for replaced food lost to spoilage.

It’s not fun, let me tell you!

Aww! Not sure how that’s a comfortable sleeping position, but pupper is crashed 😂

I’m so jealous! I really hope it doesn’t take that long to get ours back... 😭

Thank you! I’ll have to check into that!

Yeah, I’m actually pretty mad about it. I just got groceries the day before 😭
