I am so confused right about startrek lowerdecks

okay can anyone explain to me why the Star Trek fan my fandom is getting pissed off about this show I mean I want to see it I find it funny but no my fandom has to get fucking pissy about Star Trek animated comedy series  there is no other things to get pissed  off about  rigth yes there is   just to name a few   the  global pandemic  , social injustice , and it an  election-year for usa this year why get pissy about TV show or movie 

come on it's a TV show I want to watch it it's not canon most likely and why do my fellow Star Trek fans get pissed off about this shit I have a sense of humor I like people making jokes about Star Trek

Because Star Trek nerds are super serious. Like ridiculously so. So a Star Trek comedy cartoon, that is totally not serious in any way is probably anathema to them.

It's probably riddled with lore inaccuracies, and humor that Star Trek fans would consider 'low brow'.

Yeah but we're talking percentiles of the demographic here. I'm sure there are a LOT more that are too rigid for the show.

OR, the show just completely sucks.
Another total possibility.

My favorite between Captain Kirk and Captain Picard is, of course, Colonel Jack O'Neil.
